I have a pair like those! The sound quality is pretty okay for their size. That packaging, though... Makes you wonder if the sales pictures were actually of the pair you received.

I had an opposite issue once - shipped an item insured, which arrived broken. The buyer then sent me back the item and wanted a refund, which nullified the insurance I put on the item which the shipper dammaged. What a pain.

Nope. Seller just stole a picture from somewhere else even though the description said "in the box".

You probably should share who the seller is. It would be the same thing as if you gave the seller a bad rating; it would warn others not to buy from this seller.

This is the problem with Mercari. If you ask for a refund, they don't let you rate the seller. It is why all sellers on Mercari have good ratings. You could accept the item and then leave a bad rating, but in this case I definitely wanted my money back. I really didn't think they would work at all.

I don't know. That feels a little too far for me. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were having a bad day. Or maybe it was an elderly person who had a grandkid pack the speakers. Mercari has my pictures. If it happens more than a few times I hope they will take action.
