In today’s video… I get tactical with a VaynerMentors client about how to build brand.
VaynerMentors is our way of helping small-medium businesses (between $3M - $25M) accelerate to their next stage of growth. Kind of like McKinsey or Bain, but without the millions of dollars in fees.
It goes way beyond Facebook and Instagram tactics - we dissect your entire business from the ground up.
So excited about the growth that clients are seeing even three to six months after going through the program.

I'd hate to sound elitist, but THIS is GOLD for REAL entrepreneurs!! The motivation stuff is fun, but this right here.....damn! Love the idea of using some of the building space to create an event room furnished more like a cruise ship lounge using your furniture. I loved listening to this. Gary, the way you get excited as you know how much you can help, as it's your background - your dad's business; made me crack up. I am just the same in my marketing consulting with sports and fitness businesses, I get over excited at all the easy wins and opportunities I can see. It's what drives me and why I wanted to work for myself. I knew I could share my 17 years with Nike and adidas to help exactly the size businesses you are helping here. It's proving very personally rewarding. What you are giving these guys is gold.

People should show up to work hard and give it thir all no matter what the job or how low you might find it. I own a few "brands" and I've had business owner friends who have called me for help in their catering business. I sat my cameras down, and went to go make food for people and gave it my all, 100% dedication (as a cook) I'm not a cook... I still had to give it my all. Not just because my friend needed help, but because of PRIDE, you have to try to be the best at anything you do no matter how high or how low the job might be.

I agree, giving your all 100% of the time is what should be done by everybody, it would make the world a better place. Maybe we could connect and have a chat about things, you seem like an intelligent business person. Or maybe you'd just like to check out our KZbin channel which helps people understand branding thoroughly through short videos. Feel free to if you get a sec. Have a great day, Scott

Regarding co-working space and cafeteria etc., what do would you think about small free cinema with alternative short movies? You could use your couches, armchairs, footrests and pillows, so people can try them for a longer time, feel that these are super comfortable and they want them at home. The idea is to buy 15-30 minutes, alternative movies of young creators, also from other countries f.ex Central/Eastern Europe or Asia. I suppose you can buy them quite cheap, since young creators needs money for new creations and want to be shown. People like to watch movies that are not mainstream, have unique form, show life in other parts of the world and touch not typical aspects of life. Bring value offering something original, which is not available on Netflix, Hulu etc. Keep the room simple, your furniture, projector and nice audio. Make it as at home. Make the event in social media, so people can share it. People love such events, discuss the movies in real life, especially young ones, so this way they can feel connection with your brand and also buy in the future. I think with this idea your building would be quite unique and such events (ex. in the evenings or weekend afternoons) would bring people. Your brand would be associated with culture, art, relax, family time etc. Gary or somebody from Gary’s team: I would be happy to hear what do you think. Who of you would come for an interesting movie?

Great mentoring shares for learning about Brand Equity. I thought of a few ideas for Amanda and family~ hope they are something to bounce from: - in Australia, it's popular for charities/community groups to have sausage sizzles in the carpark of a franchises to fundraise, brings in heaps of traffic - a 'Social Circle-Craft' area~ the not for profit I founded ran them daily on centre stage at a small plaza; community donated craft stuffs and I had a small budget supervising work-for-the-dole participants; wfd participants helped to supervise the area and the public, as well as groups such as disability-carers, could drop in and craft and keep their creation; make donations for other stuff we were doing; occupies the kids while parents shop, recycles stuff and encourages inter-generational sharing and learning - a workshop area for members of the public (likely retirees) to re-purpose broken/damaged stock that can be donated to charities/community groups that help those in need with furnishings e.g., recently from homelessness and now have accommodation

Here's an idea. Use the extra space as a place to teach clients how to decorate their homes. They pay 50 bucks for an hour presentation, only available when there's a group of 10 clients or more. Or they can sign up for different themed presentations as in, old English theme or chic modern. Build a stage with arena style seating, have it blocked off from the rest of the store BUT have only a slight slit where other buyers can catch a glimpse of this top-secret decor presentation(so to spark curiousity). Then invite them to your Pinterest group or FB group after it's done. That way you can keep in contact with them. Post pics of cool ways your decor person has decorated a room. Show their face a lot so they remember them and build more trust. And hopefully come back If someone wants a private lesson then charge or do what Gary said to do. I hope this gets to you. I thought it was a good idea haha.
