It's almost predictable that Mitch will melt reactors faces with his runs in this. They're not show-offy, but just perfectly placed.

I love the way they don't rush a song or even phrases. This is what makes them great at drawing you completely into their performances. And when they know they have you, they build you up so high it takes your breath away and then they drop[ you back to earth and then build you up again and again. You feel like you are on a roller coaster and at the end you have to take some time to regain your breath and composure. They are EPIC !!!!
@katrinahubbard84782 жыл бұрын
This is the hallmark of a truly great Acapella group. When you use instruments, they carry the bulk of the emotion in the phrasing a lot of the time. I don’t know if this is done intentionally all the time or if the singer is just lazy. However, in a truly great Acapella performance, the voices do all the work and can make you feel as if you are listening to a full orchestra

I agree. It always amazes me that it’s only 5 humans making all of the sounds that you’re hearing. It sounds like 20 people!

Every time that part of the video comes I yell AVENGERS UNITE!! lol, that look Kev gives us as they drop in & begin to give us the PTX Wall of Sound is EVERYTHING! I love how the trio switches off duets. Mitch/Scott, Scott/ Kirstie, Kirstie/Mitch. Their voices blend so naturally. Kev's percussion was spot on & he added such depth in those 5 part harmonies throughout as well. Was that him in that last high falsetto in "save"? I swear it was! The unsung hero here tho is Matt imho. The BASS!!!!!!! Ugh it was SO full & rich & carried all the way through! Whooooo!!! If this doesn't grab them that well deserved & EARNED 4th Grammy I'm gonna lose my wig!!!

Loved the reaction and the expressiveness in your face. I've never studied music nor play nor sing as I have just an octave range I think. Despite this, music entrances me and holds me captive. It speaks to my soul. That humans have the capacity to create music and its treasures gives me hope our world may eventually find its way to a happy, harmonious future. I'm in my seventies so I've seen the dark side of history. That young people like the members of Pentatonix, countless other talented individuals and yourself carry the torch forward is inspiring. Music is common across the globe as is music appreciation. Our similarities are more important than our differences. Well done young man and keep up the good work. BTW, I subscribed.

As beautiful in its own way as snow falling., but as powerful its own way as Thor's hammer that is the magic of this performance., and that in the simplest terms possible describes Pentatonix. They are part of that rare group of singers who can take a cover and make it sound completely original and yet pay respect to the original performers. This is Grammy worthy material in every sense of the word... And I hope the voters give this song the attention it is due. This is what magic sounds like

I agree with a comment below that the video was much quieter than your voice so it's hard to adjust the volume on the computer. Hey! Just found your channel! I follow a couple of others who do "reactions" to vocalists but you are REALLY fun and musically Intelligent so I'm gonna subscribe. Please follow up with PTX first Grammy award for "Daft Punk". One of the most difficult song I have ever heard them do. On top of which it only cost them 400.00 to record and film in a closet!
