I wonder if only Pentaholics can live through this since we have been exposed more beauty than the average person. This song should come with a warning. This was absolutely Beautiful! I loved hearing Celine Dion when she sang with Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban. They sang it beautifully, but Pentatonix took it a step above. It brought tears to my eyes. Their harmony is so beautiful and each one was outstanding. I loved Scott as he sang the part in Italian, it was amazing and Mitch beyond belief. They just performed perfection.

Dennis, I love how you highlighted the ways in which they were showing God's love and care for us through their artistry. I also agree that each one of the 5 did a phenomenal job with their parts to create a really magnificent whole. I think it is their best and most beautiful work to date.

The Prayer has now claimed the #1 spot for PTX music videos. I loved Mitch in the lead and his voice was perfect for this, so pure and angelic but his solos with Scott and Kirstin were also outstanding💕💕

I love your reaction so much. It’s like you saw my first reaction to this because it was EXACTLY the same - I couldn’t speak at all for ages. Mitch always, always speaks directly to my soul and he really shines in this (as always) - the voice of an angel & with such clarity too. Scott surprised me with his richness & everyone played their part. The video really moved me too. One of my top 3 PTX songs.

I watched Scott's live feed promoting the album and he commented that this arrangement is one of the hardest ever to develop and perform and the next day Kevin had a live feed and said the same thing - they pointed out the Kirstie/Scott harmonies at the end and then how she followed that by harmonizing so beautifully with Mitch - Scott particularly loved that section. I just loved the whole song - each and every section has it's strengths and "oh wow" moments.

Hardly could call him just "the other guy"; Andrea Bocceli is one of the most well known opera singer in the world.

"The Prayer" was written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa and Tony Renis for the 1998 animated film Quest for Camelot. The soundtrack featured TWO solo versions - Celine Dion sang it in English while Andrea Bocelli sang it in Italian. The two of them later recorded a duet version which appeared on their respective solo albums.

Oh man. I was blown away when I heard this for the first time. I seriously think that pentatonix could change the world if they were to put out a Christian album. Their gifts are out of this world. This song is comforting in so many ways. Each member has something to bring to the table. God always uses music to either speak to me or bring comfort in time of need. There's no shame in crying or being vulnerable.
