When I was growing up, there was a "Grandma" who took bags/ rags made dolls and then crocheted beautiful dresses for it, when she made a boy she even made him clothes. She took the pull tabs and made hats out of them, even cut up beer cans and made hats to sell at a fair once a year. She even quilted. She made a lot of beautiful things

I especially like I Love This Cotton best. The cotton makes really nice knit washcloths. They make a nice small gift, maybe for a teacher. I don’t know how it will work up in crochet but I’d give it a try.

You would think that Hobby Lobby would want to capitalize off of Black Friday and have a better deal other than their regular 30% off on the yarn. Seems the only Black Friday sale they are having is on all Christmas items🤷🏽‍♀️

I used the Sweet Delight Chunky in the pastle rainbow colorway for a toddler hat. It is so nice to work with! I added a little pompom using the yarn, the hat was so cute and squishy. I put it out at my very next market event and it sold right away. Thank you for getting some yarn for swatches. Looking forward to seeing them worked up. 🤗 Have a wonderful day/night 🙏🏻💖

The HLs in my area has really cut back on yarn. They used to occupy four aisles. Now it's only one and a half. I went to JoAnn and it could have been a nightmare. However, they moved the lines really fast and we could stack additional discounts on sale and clearance items. I normally don't go out on Black Friday, but my trip to JoAnn was worth it even though they didn't have what I wanted in stock. I got it online, instead. Cheers!

Hi Glenda and Cody - always love your videos - thanks for sharing! Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and ate TONS! :-) Thank-you for taking us shopping at Hobby Lobby . I need to get out to my local store. Gosh my store has had Christmas items on sale for several weeks now - they have alot of neat stuff! I remember back in the 70's when all the rage was the ceramic Christmas trees - I did several - painted, put in the lights - always alot of fun...made nice gifts. Think maybe the ceramic phase is coming back - and it should - fun for all ages and you can make some really cool projects! Why in the heck are all of those Wobble kits so darn expensive - I don't get it - it's ridiculous - just goes to show you - look at the mark up, because see the great prices there at Hobby Lobby... hummm.... I also see Premier yarn has some great sales going on too as well as Herrschners and Mary Maxim! Great time to buy projects. I've tried the Soft n Sleek Baby Yarn - nice to work with! The "I Love This Yarn' is nice - they have many choices of colors! :-) Have a nice weekend :-) 🎄

I have a small collection of yarn bowls, mainly from local artist. But, I love the big yarn bowls. As a person that spins fiber into yarn and a yarn dyer I can fit at least two balls into them. So, doing different colors in one project is fairly yarn at my finger tips. And yes I still love using acrylic yarn for gifts.

Oh my gosh it’s so cute watching you pick all the yarn 🤭I do the same thing but I’m always all alone 😂 Matching - I’m always a chicken b/c if it isn’t an obvious match I’ll put it with white or cream lol It’s always a good reminder to look at the labels, especially when making things for babies or kids. It HAS to be machine washable 99% of the time. Mom’s just don’t have time for that ☺ 📝✍One of us viewers should go through your videos and make a GoogleDoc or some type of list with all the yarns you have made swatches of 🤔 I’ve done some of the sparkle cakes and they are SO pretty! Made a cowl out of one of them. I realllly do love all the colors at Hobby Lobby. I bought that dark chocolate brown above the oranges at about 11:50 and made coffee cozy’s with it. There is just so much wonderful yarn there 🥰 Thanks for another tour, I enjoy Hobby lobby 😊

A great use for the finishing needles is for chunky yarn. It makes quick work of hiding those ends.

One big reason I don't shop at Hobby Lobby and Micheal's is they don't give military discounts. One big reason I love Hobby Lobby is it is a Christian owned store!
