They are Simply the best out there. I own most tape plugins Waves, Softube, Black Rooster, Ozone, Acustica Audio, Reel Bus ect. and IMO IK blows all of them off on my mixes, I not saying I will not use the others , but IK is the final touch whether on separate tracks or the whole mix.....................IK Wins, But you better have a decent computer or just freeze them when needed. What the Machine 80 dose to the low end and Transients it's the closest to analog..................... Take them for a test ride

I could hear the difference, It did change the brightness. 2nd setting you used I felt in solo? That gave it more top end sparkle, Which I feel that would probably cut nice on a mix. 3rd setting had more midrange focus on that vocal it sounded bit muddy I felt for a vocal... No doubt that setting will suit other material. T Racks V2 MAX to be fair in the sale? I think its like 47 squids! For what you get in that bundle? Is well worth it...

@@CreativeSauce Yeah. It's okay because everything you were saying was on point. I have used Cakewalk since version 1.1 but I find that I am still learning some twenty years later. I don't know about yourself, but I felt a bit bruised after Sonar X1 - because I still run X1 with Reason 5 as a ReWire device and was disappointed that Cakewalk -Bandcamp no longer supports Reason as a rewire device. Unfortunately the new Reason 10 vst plugin doesn't seem to work with Calewalk either... I think they are missing a great opportunity there. Keep up the Sterling work. 👍

I just bought them. I own a lot of Tape Emulations and for me these are the only ones that come close to a real one. I think it is because of the modeling. They used something like a impulse response to model them. (Probably kind of similar to acustica plugins). That's probably also the reason of the high cpu usage. Hope this helps. I would encourage you to demo them for yourself. Have a nice day!

ish happens. Doing a 4K screen capture is somewhat CPU intensive, which can lead to problems like that. A recent software update to Action! caused audio problems that weren't in previous versions. I had to recapture things and it was annoying. It's simply not worth the time to go back and fix the glitches for a video that got about 6,000 views. If it were a major label or Hollywood release? Yes absolutely fix the audio glitches and get paid to do it. But for KZbin? Nah...

I can't hear a difference between the two files . . . . Listening with HD800 headphones, repeatedly comparing the two files on a brief loop. My conclusion: if I can't hear a benefit, I'm not going to use it. Of course, just because I can't hear it, that doesn't mean it's not there . . . .
@jimfogle1844 жыл бұрын
Interesting video. My biggest disappointment is they didn't include some version of the Teac 3340. I'd be willing to bet that the 3340 was in more home studios than all four of the machines in this collection All of these were originally designed for professional use in a studio. It would be nice if the interface included (optional) sound effects. In real life working around the sound on the transport engaging was a big challenge for home recorders. The push button tape speed selector switch sounds very different than the toggle switch tape speed selector. When play is pressed transport engagement sounds different for each one. The visual is so realistic it's a shame they didn't include the sounds.

Hi Mike, Your tips have been so immensely helpful. I was wondering if you could make a video on how to recreate the type of piano recordings that the KZbinr, Rousseau (3 million subscribers) does using a piano MIDI. How do you make a piano sound mellow, warm, realistic, and like a real grand piano. Here is a link to one of his videos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmKnp5pogt2EpJo Note: I already have a nice VST plugin from VSL, but it doesn't quite cut it, what are some extra techniques that I can use.
