@struckfire3337Ай бұрын
Maybe Mother Teresa said that but she said that because that’s the actual definition of insanity in the dictionary and it’s always been the definition of insanity you can go all the way back to 1932 and it’s in the big book of alcoholics Anonymous it’s literally the definition of insanity people have always been under this false impression that the definition of insanity is to be crazy. It’s not it’s doing the same thing over again and expecting different results.

@@DatsunZBoss No, KZbin has A/B testing in KZbin Studio. My understanding is that it will split-test your uploaded thumbnails for you and then stick with the best one. But after a short time, you can also change the thumbnail and see if it drives more traffic.

Nice. It's also a great way to postpone any depressing thoughts until AFTER the five full years. And if one is consistent in their uploads and keep evolving along the way...it's hard to think one wouldn't have results. I shall ponder this for inspiration. ✌

I hope you've recovered. I had Covid 6 times starting in January 2022. It weakened me to the place that in May, I went in for a root canal, and the doctor didn't change his surgical gloves in the 3 hours he went back and forth between my tooth to his phone to my tooth and his computer, then my tooth... I got two infections... a severe infection in my jaw and a "Helicobacter Pylori" stomach infection. On June 20th, I almost died in my bed. It was 5 times worse than the covid ever was. Not only did my life force reach absolute rock bottom, but the pain from the ulcer and the infection in my head was unlike anything I ever encountered. A different dentist finished my root canal and I sought medical help for the infections. I'm bouncing between a 60% to 75% health level as I am recovering. One thing is sure, everything else goes to the back burner when you come close to dying.

THIS channel from where I'm typing is EXACTLY what i needed to hear. DOING something with what I've heard is another thing. For me, getting myself proper to even attempt a conversation on camera on a consistent basis is my achilles heel. I've uploaded 4 videos featuring myself thus far, but stopped when something inside me shifted my ambition. Maybe it's the paltry views, or the lack of subscribers and the very strong desire i have not to come across disingenuous. Authenticity means everything to me, and i tend to fabricate rejection in my own head like a pro. So..yeah, it's a process. THANK YOU for this video, sir.

Lesson #9 is the most important for any KZbinr. You have to shed yourself of your entitlement and the baseless assumption that you are automatically better than your competitors. If people prefer your competitor’s content to yours, figure out why, then determine how you can make your own content better. Challenge your own assumptions and biases. Will check out the ego book. Great video.

Yaaas 😂 after my other ventures I don’t blame them frankly it’s a grind finding your purpose. Very true about getting hung up on views it’s truly a balance of checking whether your content has been helpful, your going in the right direction, providing enough details? Guess that’s what the issue is really, because instead of creating more content I’m spending the day analyzing the current traffic and response. All important but I’m constantly reminded that this is a a bit of a journey and I’ll keep watching videos like yours to figure where I’ve gone wrong.

Lesson #12 is SO TRUE. You shouldn't worry about other platforms if you have a successful youtube channel, because your audience will check out your other social media as a consequence of your youtube success. I'd even go as far to say make a youtube channel first, then choose what other social media you want to be in as a consequence of you liking the platform.

@RobertPlankАй бұрын
Growing a KZbin channel really does sound like a grind, but the insights here hit hard. The first point about friends and family not "getting it" is so relatable-most people just don't see the behind-the-scenes effort. Surrounding yourself with like-minded creators seems like the key to staying motivated, especially when growth feels slow. The lesson on thinking in five-year time scales instead of months is a total mindset shift. It’s easy to get discouraged early on when videos flop, but seeing every view as an opportunity (and not chasing perfection) is such a game-changer. It really puts into perspective how unpredictable KZbin success can be-you never know who's watching or what might take off. The part about ego is so real. Focusing on haters, obsessing over competition, or feeling bitter when smaller channels blow up only wastes time. That energy is so much better spent improving your own content and understanding what your audience truly wants. Plus, hearing that big channels often struggle behind the scenes makes it clear that views don’t always equal success. Finally, the advice on simplifying content and mastering hooks is gold. Viewers care about clarity, not complexity, and small tweaks to your titles, thumbnails, and storytelling can make all the difference. It’s inspiring to hear how even simple changes can lead to huge results when you stay consistent and keep experimenting.
