I remember playing this game. I never realized how complex it really is until I downloaded it recently. I mean, on the surface it's pretty simple: teach them to talk, feed them, let them walk around and breed. But take a look at the science kit and you'll realize there's a lot more going on than meets the eye.

When I first heard about Spore, I was hoping it would be a more advanced version of this type of game. I was sorely disappointed. There hasn't been a commercial game like this one that was better in over a decade.

This game was so awesome! I can’t find anything like it... the detail was incredible. For those who can remember, there was also a huge online community where people made websites for the game and traded their creatures. If you had programming talents you could custom skin the creatures. Someone make an advanced game like this again!

I played this a lot back in 1997-2000, I have so many fond memories of it ♥ I didn't know much English back then, only a couple of words. However, it was fun to play and I even managed to breed my Norns. I still have the egg floppy disk saved, from which you could "re-stock" the incubator 😅

Oh man, nostalgia... I played this around 6 years old also, I didn't really understand it but always seemed to make it past the first 'area'. The immense sadness that overtook me when a creature died is yet to be matched by any other video game. Forget about the Aeris scene in FF VII, that's nothing compared to this.
