A very good flick, made and released during the gothic horror boom of the sixties, when Poe and Lovecraft stories were made into stylish, atmospheric horror films. This one is a somewhat liberal rendering of "The Fall of the House of Usher", which Roger Corman had previously filmed and had a box-office hit with a few years earlier in 1960. I always enjoy your selections and guests, particularly Veronica Cartwright. Thanks!

OMG these are the movies that kept me awake all night as a kid watching this on WPIX Channel 11 NYC back in the 70s. Damn if it doesn't make me hate my older cousin (baby-sitting) for letting me stay up and watch. Funny how nightmare memories stay with us nearly 50 years later. Thanks cuz' Phil!

Gary says it very PC but absolutely correct... agendas for special interests kill series. Filoni and Favereau have done well by representing without forcing an agenda. Just my humble opinion. It's great to identify with a hero of your culture, ethnicity or gender identification but not twist an existing iconic show to suit the agenda completely. Live and let live! Don't force everyone to accept, I believe this will only cause more aversion than acceptance. God bless us all and learn to live together in peace.

Gotta agree with Gary... Linda Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver played two of the best gritty female heroes (heroines) in sci-fi history. Bad @$$ female stars and victors.
