This could be choice; Cherie Currie from the Runaways will be in it and it seems to have a sort of reversed alien abduction theme. No guests are listed which means there will be more time to see the hosts, especially our beloved Tangella. All in all, it looks like a perfect Saturday night!

This was a really good movie. The aliens didn't want to hurt anybody, but leave it up to the military and government officials to be the ones who were hurting the aliens. Maybe in real life the other beings should not come here, because after all, people on this planet are a violent species, just look at how people treat each other and the other inhabitants, and the planet itself.

Dear Tangella .. I suck .. I've never learned to dance. I'm 57, ugly, and fat.. About 10 years ago I realized why I hate the idea of dancing .. was at a party far too sober, watching everyone .. and realized everyone was doing something different to the same beat. There were no rules. I'm crazy and I like rules. Maybe square dancing might be my thing? But dear Tangella .. I do know how to make explosives. I'll trade you one dance lesson for mercury fulminate 101. Aaaand .. I just made that list.

LOL! I saw this back in 1986! We had a video store next to our house on one side and a mini mart on the other and I saw the picture on the cover of this rental and thought it was gonna be interesting and a little scary. The Alien bulging eyes in the cover picture but then I see these "Aliens" are kids that looked like me(Islander)lol and was like "what?". Not scary at all lol! Wow what a blast from the past this is! And the main Nerd from Revenge of the Nerds too? Oh yeah! Fun fact of my life, I learned the English word "Rubble" for the first time when I saw this movie.. English was not my primary language as a kid. Oh the memories lol! Those pods, no bulging eyes or strange non human fingers like the cover art! Ah well, still fun!

This movie scared the bejeesus out of me when I was 5 years old. My parents left HBO on and the scenes with the aliens in the cryo containers making the whale sounds came on while I was alone in the room. I was terrified and it’s stayed with me for life. The movie was lost to time but in college I found a vhs copy for rent at Scarecrow Video in Seattle. I had to put down a deposit to rent it because it was essentially irreplaceable at the time. I tolerated it much better at that age, but it still creeped the hell out of me. I couldn’t sleep after watching it. These days I think it’s a great film. The story and setting are perfectly eerie. Some fun facts:the director, Mike Gray, also wrote The China Syndrome. The military base used for the outside shots is (was) the Lookout Mountain Air Force Base. It was a movie studio the Air Force used to create films for military use, such as demonstrations of the atomic bomb. The base was converted to a mansion and Jared Leto lived there for awhile. Dont know anything about the current owner.

Ah, this was produced by New World Pictures, one of the companies Roger Corman founded. He left and other people continued the production company and drove it into the ground (in 1992) but not before they bought Marvel Comics and began attempts at the first version of the MCU. The talent and technology for that weren't ready...
