This is what good "old married couple bickering" looks like. A few flicks to the head and a tussle or two where no one is hurt, a little playful banter, eye rolls and poking fun but also matching each other's energy and getting in on the moxy together, humoring each other, knowing where the boundaries are and apologizing if you accidentally strike a nerve, and at the end of the day supporting each other. I know Seddie fans wanted their ship to be more like that. But instead it ventures into outright bullying, trying to intimate or belittle each other, or in Freddie's case, being so scared that you run away in fear. I think that was a disaster waiting to happen, that hopefully they both learned from and are better for.

Honestly bullying is an understatement, based on season 1 alone I think that's grounds for a restraining order and harassments charges. I get enemies to lovers stories are more popular but it just doesn't work here because of how awful Sam is. Maybe Sam could actually end up developing feelings for Freddie but that is a very big MAYBE, and no way in hell would Freddie fall for Sam.
