Credit card means you spend money you don’t have, plain and simple. Here in America, having debt is normal that’s why when pandemic happened majority of them were worried about losing their jobs coz of bills. Having savings for rainy days is a must unless you want to be “normal” e.i in debt. Just my two cents. I’m sure same principle applies in the Philippines.

I really like the Citibank cards but they’re harder to get into than others but you can try their CitiRewards, CitiSimplicity, Citi CashBack, or get one from a bank you have a savings account with for easier approval

great video! just what i needed as i wanted to apply for my first credit card. one question though, what do you recommend for a first credit card? is it better to choose one without the annual fee but with no rewards, or one that has an annual fee but with rewards?

My suggestion would be to get a card with a minimal annual fee like 1,500 or 2,500 (max), if you spend enough (240-300k/yr), you can usually get the annual fee waived, if not, they kind of pay for themselves in the forms of rewards, rebates, or the just the convenience of it. They’re pretty worth it in my opinion 😊

Hi. I am an OFW who plans to return to the Philippines in November for good. I have credit cards here abroad but none in the Philippines. I tried to apply several times before when I was in the PH but had no luck getting approved. I have multiple subscriptions where I use a CC, but since I am going back to the Philippines I don't know how to continue with those subscriptions without a credit card. Has anyone here had a good experience where you got approved quickly? Do you have any suggestions where I can apply as an OFW?
