There are 2 parts of this movie that brings tears to my eyes every single time. 1. The line “I need to prove that I wasn’t a mistake” and 2. Rocky struggling to get up the stairs at the end. I grew up on Rocky and seeing him struggle on those same stairs just broke my heart.

Fun fact. Stallone is the same age in this movie that Burgess Meredith (Micky) was in the first Rocky. Stallone loved doing these movies. Unlike the previous movies where he was writing, directing, and starring. In this movie he didn't have to get into shape he just had to show up and play Rocky. And Ryan Coogler let him change his lines to more properly fit the way Rocky talks.

"He's so flabby!" Funny thing is the guy who plays Ricky Conlan (Tony Bellew) is actually a professional boxer with a very accomplished record. I find that unlike in movies, real fighters don't always have physiques of underwear models or actors who play superheroes. I don't think having low body fat is that important for being able to fight well. Not that I have any personal knowledge... Anyway enjoyed the reaction to very good movie.

You're correct...having a lower body fat percentage i.e. ripped body actually will drain down your energy faster in a real long drawn out boxing match. This is called dehydration. You might look good in photos but this is detrimental to your health and causes many boxers and UFC fighters to get hurt badly

Pound for Pound refers to a fighter's skill regardless of weight. So to be Pound for Pound (PfP) #1 that means regardless of weight class you're the best fighter. You could be 125 lbs and be the PfP #1. This is based off of several things including skills/stats, level of opponent, and record.

Apollo’s affair was part of the same mid-life crisis that he was going through that convinced him to fight Drago when he was past his prime. Mary Ann understood that, knowing that the affair was a one-time thing that Apollo did while questioning himself, and so was truly just a mistake. Her taking in Adonis was as much a show of her forgiving Apollo for it was it was an act of love, and a way of having the last part of Apollo that was alive in her life.

Dirt bikes and four wheelers in the city a lot more common than a lot of people would think that aren't from the city. Are you still work at a gas station and they would come through 25 to 30 at a time and it was always a busy time of the day but we didn't mind because they were always really respectful and polite. But all over the city of Richmond Virginia you see people popping wheelies on dirt bikes and four wheelers from residential neighborhoods to downtown Richmond lol. I wish they would have made what Stallone wrote in the screenplay for "Rocky IV" canon: Rocky and Apollo hit each other (that we see)... and that's it. They both decide beating each other up is bullshit and stop fighting right then. Walking about of the gym, Rocky says, "Apollo, did you have a brick in your glove?" Apollo laughs and replies, "Stallion, I was about to ask you the same thing."

I live in Philly so here's the history of the statue (as I remember it): after Rocky 3 it spent a few years at the top of the Art Museum steps (yes, that's the Philadelphia Museum of Art) but then the museum decided it didn't want it there anymore (it wasn't artistic enough) so they moved it to outside of the Spectrum (our indoor sports arena).
