Yeah I had to close down my old account it was creating some issues professionally amongst other reasons 😅 it was time for me to move on mentally as well so it all worked out. I started this project and it’s been a blast. I been into fragrances for years and always talk about them with my friends and am active in the marketplace but never did videos on them until about 2 months ago.

@@CgScents I'll be 43 in December I'm quite a bit older than you but ive always loved hearing about your stories even if it was all drugs then lol. You are an awesome dude I can tell, but your presence and speaking are both top tier as well. Anything you do ill love. My fragrances are all under $100. Club De Nuit Sillage is the closest thing I have to Creed Silver Mountain Water and also Armaf Tres Nuit which is a cheap clone of your favorite Green Irish Tweed. I actually prefer the edt of most fragrances over the edp they usually have a better smell to me personally. Like Dolce & Gabbana edt is my 2nd favorite fragrance. The dry down is the most epic Vanilla bomb. Vanilla and Powdery fragrances are some of my favorites as well as OUD and Frankincense.

"Cool water smells like a cologne. This (GIT) smells like an experience. " That's a freakin 🎤 drop! Couldn't have said it better. My first love fragrance is Polo Green. My dad used to wear it. And I bought my first bottle last year. Love it!

This fragrance is so smooth and smells like the essence of Spring. I wore 3 small spritz to the gym once and i heard multiple people commenting on the otherside of the gym how it smelled like a beautiful meadow in the gym. 😂

I agree with you 100% I just bought a 500 ML bottle. This fragrance gives me euphoria and a sense of calm and ease. An absolute masterpiece. I too will make this my signature scent.

I’m glad we meet again 👊! Whenever I find out GIT is someone else’s favorite niche cologne I feel like that scene in Step Brothers ‘are we best friends!?’ It happens reasonably often so it’s gotta just be a good one. Super classy, calm, and fresh.

We have the same batch code! I bought my bottle from Jomashop, a year and three days ago. It was my first ever niche purchase, and it is the only fragrance to this day that I have tried that has utterly blown me away. This fragrance reminds me of my grandfather whom I lost many years ago. He loved forests, rivers, and thunderstorms. To me, Green Irish Tweed evokes beautiful evergreen forests and fields of grass during a Spring sunrise when the morning dew sets upon the ground. It reminds me of my grandfathers guiding hands, the masculinity and sense of duty that he instilled in me, and I wear it as a reminder of the man I would someday hope to be. This is the quintessential fragrance of a man.

My "first love" fragrance is MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver. When I first smelled it, I had a moment. I was very young in my frag journey, and I didn't know scents like that one were even possible. On top of that, it gave me a scent memory that I never experienced (anemoia)! Now, I try to actively seek out scents that give me that kind of emotional experience. It's not just a smell, it's a visceral thing. There are a few others that have done that, for differing reasons, but know I know what I'm looking for. And I have accepted what compliments my personality and try to find fragrances that enhance those traits.

One of my all time favorites. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned a “ freshly cut damp grass smell “ . The key word is damp . Pretty wife by the way .

Green Irish tweed is Pierre Bourdon base for the others Silver Mountain Water and Millésime Impérial are brothers of this DNA hence why you get resemblance. When Pierre Bourdon created Cool Water he made it aquatic off of Green Irish tweed but with cheaper quality raw materials.

GIT to me performs great. I don’t need a 12 hour fragrance lol when I wear GIT I get compliments all the time. It’s a clean and doesn’t over do it. It’s not meant to fill the room. This is my favorite most versatile fragrance along with grey vetiver parfum

Green Irish Tweed is a solid fragrance. Years and years ago it used to be my signature scent. Back then it was very long lasting with excellent sillage, but I haven’t tried it in a long time. Personally I think it’s the blend of the musks and the sandalwood that makes it so special. Thanks CG. btw what makes a perfume smell classy and colognie is an aroma chemical called dihydro myercinol.

I had a 2016 I think it was 16CN01 bottle and sold it because my F batch is the exact same if not better performance wise. I am positive vintage is better if I dig around but I’m happy with F batch and don’t want to mess that up 😅 I’ve heard the vintage was a whole different league I can’t even imagine that. Sometimes ignorance is bliss lol.

@@CgScents the only reason I stopped using git was because in 2010 Aventus came out and that became my signature scent. And yes sometimes ignorance is bliss 😂

I had this. I loved it but just didn’t grab it much. Probably just get a decant later.. I guess my nose as grown on me. And because it’s such a seasonal DNA I didn’t grab it much. Living in Texas it’s too hot at times. My signature is Gentle Fludity Silver by MFK.

I have binged your videos since discovering your channel, first your wife has an impeccable nose for fragrances, she nails each one, blindly. She should start her own, Spanish speaking channel. I would not understand a word of it but it would free her to fully express her observations. Here is a thought, record your wife’s segments in her native tongue with subtitles. Just riffing.
