Can't agree on Drago. It was cool that they brought him back at all. The movie had enough going on without trying to focus on the (former) antagonist from the last film.

Dame is my favourite antagonist of the whole saga,its so relatable,so human...Yet he is only filled with rage and resentment but no evil,and he is somebody caught up by time and yet he plays all the cards avaiable knowing he is old,its all or nothing for him.

Rocky is not dead. There are some people Sly has issues with and he opted to not be in Creed 3. However, there will more than likely be a Creed 4 and Rocky might come back for that one.

Yep, Sly actually got on the Stallone Zone Forums and pretty much laid most of it out, Basically wanting some of the rights to the movies and wanting to have a piece, but a lot of it had to do with the direction they went in the second one, and cutting out some scenes, and basically telling him to piss off when it came time to edit the movie and didn't include him in any of that even though he was a producer. He also said that Creed 3 was in trouble at one point and they asked him to come back to film a cameo and also to help edit the film. You see the original idea for the movie wasn't about Adonis being beat up by his foster carer it was written as a sexually abused. This is why its weird how Adonis doesn't want to talk about getting beat up to Bianca because it was initially the sexual abuse which makes sense to not want to talk to Bianca about it. Sly did make it clear he doesn't have a problem with Michael b Jordan though.

Sly had issues with producers and director... but ultimately they ( the producers and director ) let him go, meaning he was out of the project as a co-producer and as actor... they literally got rid of him because of the money and that is disgusting... Creed 3 is a good movie but without even a 5 min call back of Rocky.... it didn't feel the same... something was missing.

This was one hell of a directorial debut by Jordan. He did a great job and proved he has a great eye. Also whoever the costume designer was went above and beyond.

One of the most bizarre things about the Creed trilogy is that Apollo and Mary Anne Creed's two biological children were barely mentioned and didn't even attend her funeral. The writers definitely left a big hole in the storyline.

Great film, but I wish they would've fleshed out Dame more. Like I wish they would've shown him winning more fights, show boating & trash talking Adonis on air & the radio before fighting Adonis. Btw they already finished Rocky's story towards the end of the last film with him reconciling with his son. But I do think they should've at least had him there for the funeral.

I agree with Rocky being there for the funeral. If not Stallone, someone portraying him. Camera could've shown him from the back making it look like Rocky was present for the funeral. I would've also like to have seen Apollo's and Mary Anne's children there at the funeral even if it was just for a quick appearance.

It's evident that what struck me as unreasonable about Diamond Damian Anderson's situation was the 18-year sentence he received for his actions. However, he never discharged the firearm; instead, he drew it in self-defense to protect Adonis Creed, who was being assaulted by two assailants. Had Adonis Creed stayed, he could have potentially served as a witness and corroborated the events accurately, possibly resulting in a lesser sentence for Damian or even exoneration. Adonis's absence as a witness may have adversely affected Damian's legal proceedings. Additionally, Damian's resentment towards Adonis may not have stemmed from him fleeing the scene, but rather from Adonis's failure to maintain contact, likely influenced by his mother's interception of Damian's correspondence. Only then, and after, did Damian recall the incident about Adonis running away and feel as though Adonis had truly abandoned him.

Dame pulled a couple dirty tricks in the Chavez fight, but Felix really didn't impress me as someone who could've possibly beat Viktor Drago.

The only reason why Rocky is not in Creed 3 is that producer Stallone has a grudge with producer Winkler (who owns all the rights to Rocky, which Stallone hates). Rocky is still alive in the Rockycreedverse and might well be back for Creed 4, as Stallone said ... if some things work out. But having said the word "grudge": there is a movie called GRUDGE MATCH (2013, long after Rocky 6) that is called Rocky 6 1/2 (six and a half) among fans. It stars Sylvester Stallone (from Rocky-fame) fighting against Robert DeNiro (from Raging Bull-fame). Of course it´s not a Rocky-movie, but it still is a nice Rocky homage. Watch it! 🙂

This movie did have to show it can continue without Rocky. Everyone loves and misses him, but it had to prove it. And it did. One of the main reasons why I gotta give this movie the points it deserves.

I personally think it's a good movie and Damien is just misunderstood because this guy was literally his brother and he didn't try to call text or write or anyting. After they've been abused and stuff like that so I can understand why he was mad and then you know to watch his friend/little brother achieve his dream I can understand why he was so angry

To be fair Adonis stepmom hid the letter Dame sent Adonis which was wrong because without Dame Donis wouldn't have be alive for her to adopted him and like he said Dame treated him like a brother more than his real siblings. If Dame would have had somebody look at his case he wouldn't have been in Jail for so long

wonderful reaction 👍 The story of this movie is good, but I don't think the 'Rocky' case was solved well. I understand that the Creed series needs to emancipate itself from the Rocky series, but for the fact that in Creed 1+2 Rocky had a great influence on Donnie, the break is too hard that is not even a thought now (the death and funeral of Mary- Ann would have been a good time for example) is wasted on him. Mickey has been in all of the Rocky movies, if only as a brief thought. That would have been the better solution in my opinion. Greetings from Germany 😍

Stallone wasnt in the movie due to a dispute with the producer. It wasnt a story decision.

It actually was a story decision. Originally Stallone was passing the torch but then like with most artistic people he didn't want to let go and he still wanted creative control of part 3 which he didn't have cause he gave up his rights to Rocky so the movie could be made. However this is the movie business. Stallone had creative control over Rambo which he didn't create but when it happens to him he got upset.

Sylvester Stallone had creative differences with the producer on the movie, Irwin Winkler, which is why he opted out of being in the film. Winkler owns the rights to the franchise, which is somthing that Stallone has been unhappy with for some time.

Winkler mortgage his house so that Stallone could make Rocky. That was the trade off cause of the risk he took

Yo the title of the movie is CREED not Rocky, Adonis, it's his time to stand alone. At the end of the fight with Drago Rocky said" it's your time, touched gloves and walked out. That was Rocky's Exit. Let him Go.

Two Mel Gibson movies: "We Were Soldiers" and "The Patriot" They will both make you cry but if you want something with a happy uplifting ending watch The Patriot. And no you don't have to be an American to enjoy it.

Me = :( for every "where's rocky?". I missed him too. If only he just showed up for the funeral for 5 minutes and gave Creed one of those famous Rocky speeches. That's all he needed to be there. That and I didn't care for the story of a guy getting out of jail and going into a championship fight. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the film. I think Creed 1 is still my favorite.

@@Centaneyeah Stallone has a beef with the producers of the franchise (not with Michael B Jordan, but the guys who produced all of the films going back to Rocky 1). That’s why he’s not in this one. However, Stallone said he’s open to return as Rocky in a future Creed movie as long as the original producers aren’t involved or he gets the rights back to the franchise

He wasn't cheated out of them. He sold the rights to the Rocky franchise for $100. The guy was a former friend of his and has earned plenty of money from the franchise. Stallone thought the guy would do the honorable thing and give the opportunity to get them back. A lot of Rocky extreme fans automatically assumed there was a riff between Stallone and Michael B Jordan, but it was Stallone's way of bringing to light what happened.

Some elements are like Rocky 3 like the death of a love one but it's very different. Adonis and Dame knowing each other when they were little and having this personal attachment is something very new. Also the directing is very different.

@65cj55 no rocky 3 was about rocky facing HIS FIRST real threat since becoming champion all while dealing with a slew of other things going wrong in his life like mick dying and shielding him from real Competition until clubbers comes along Rocky pride was crushed mick dying was the cherry on top Apollo comes along and they build they friendship creed 3 however is about dame coming back into Adonis life and switching his world upside down thanx to they past creed 3 is more like a hood movie classic gives me juice,paid in full,belly vibes two completely different movies that share the same elements like i said lol 😆 🤣
