This song is not a drug song. It's about being with the man he used to be. He's meeting himself again. It's self reflection.

This song is about reconnecting with yourself. Coming out of a place/period of darkness and stepping back into the light.

That's why CREED got the label as being a Heavy Metal Christian Rock band because songs like this. My Sacrifice refers to Jesus sacrificing his life for humankind. Good song! Good band!

Creed was not a Christian Rock Group, as Scott Stapp has said many times, but he is a Christian and the songs he wrote and performed reflected that. His stepfather was a strict Pentecostal preacher and he often rebelled against that growing up which was the reason he bought an electric guitar and learned to play it. His stepfather would often say it was an instrument of the devil. But as he got older he returned to his roots. When he sang those songs, I believe he was trying to come to terms with his own beliefs.

I always felt this song was about finding yourself. The world can pull us about and cause us to not even recognize our own reflection. Get back to who you truly are.

To me, it is about the ebbs and flows of walking with and then away from Jesus .. Jesus is “my sacrifice” given that he gave his life for us

This song is another one of those songs that is always so nice to hear again. Unrelated, but I heard a song today that I hadn't heard for some time and thought of your channel was wondering if you have heard it... it's called "if you could only see" by Tonic. It's great to hear. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZfKZ2BqoqembLs

Haven't heard CREED in a while. Supposedly the singer got a lot of hate for sounding like him of Pearl Jam. I never thought so. Eddie has more,,,,,,, Man!!?? Though I like some CREED Im not a fan of that annoying CLANK of a snare drum 🥁. Great Reaction!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼
