Is this a recent thing? I've recently got into fragrances and heard Creed thrown around as something of a 'pinnacle' purchase. I've used some testers and while they smell gorgeous, the performance has been horrendous. Aventus gets maybe 3hrs on me, all the way down to 30 minutes tops for Millesime Imperial. Really disappointing performance, especially given the price.

I bought Silliage as a blind buy. Tested it many times on my hand and didn’t really like it. The other day decided to wear it as my SOTD and caught wafts throughout the day and really enjoyed it. It’s moved up massively in my estimation. I learned a valuable lesson that frags need to be worn and smelt naturally in the air, not up close on your hand. 😂

I use SMW as my signature, it has a unique metallic icy scent I like. If Sub Zero from MK had a fragrance it would be SMW. To save $ I tried like 3 different clones but none has that coolness inky smell I look for

Great video😂 in all seriousness, I’ve had SMV in my collection for a few years now and having recently picked up the Armaf version, I have to say they are very very close, Armaf is much stronger and lasts longer. But the dry down on SMV has much more depth, smoother.

Creed Silver Mountain Water would be my favorite fragrance of all time IF....IF the PERFORMANCE wasn't so weak! For the price of Creed the performance should at LEAST be 8 hrs. There is no way a fragrance that cost more than most peoples electricity bill should fade away so quickly. I am not a fan of clones but I have to say Silage is definitely worth the cost. The opening is identical to SMW only the dry down is different. Moral of the story CREED IS DONE! Creed has been robbing us for years then blaming below average performance on ''BATCH' variations. The fast that they never offer discounts or any deal for loyal customers shows lack of appreciation & complete snobbiness. I've personally purchased 4 different fragrances from creed & can honestly say I was extremely UNDERWHELMED each time. Love silver mountain water scent but the performance is just NOT ACCEPTABLE! Keep up the dope content

I own Sillage and had a decant of SMW. In the air they smell almost identical, however when you smell them up close they’re differently very different fragrances. SMW has a light, airy, ethereal nature with a more prevalent musk accord whereas Sillage has a strong, punchy, slightly synthetic nature with a more pronounced ambroxan note. Sillage is the best performer in my collection; 10-12+ hours with 5-7 hours of projection and always gets compliments haha. However, I do not reach for it much because it’s so strong, not very versatile, has a slightly floral/feminine dry down, and doesn’t capture the “beauty” of SMW imo. If you want something that captures the DNA very very well with better performance for 1/10th of the price, and don’t mind sacrificing the beauty of the fragrance, then absolutely go for it and pull the trigger on this one.

I'm all for comparing originals vs clones but people need to realize that if a clone that is 85% or more similar to the original that they are cloning at a fraction of the price Creed SMW $350-$400 USD!!! compared to Armaf CDN Sillage $30 USD it's a no brainer for me especially when all fragrances do not smell the same on every person and unless you are a fragrance connoisseur NOBODY is really going to know the difference or really even care honestly whether you are wearing the original or a clone. Unless you are wealthy and even then it's just a status thing to say you are wearing a $500 fragrance then it's just not a responsible financial decision in my opinion to pay that much when you can smell pretty much the same spending alot less! Edit: I forgot to add that I love the production of your video, great work! New sub!

They smell the same but SMW is clearly better blended and has a sparkle/milky smoothness to it that sillage just doesn’t have. It’s not worth getting if you don’t care of the dna. It’s a similar situation to individuel and Santal. They smell the same on paper but individuel is cloying, while Santal is not. You get what you pay for.

You are very hilarious and quite charming comparing these two! While i would never spend over $200 for a bottle of SMW, I just received my bottle of Sillage and already I’m getting mad compliments on the smell. The dry down is the best part because it retains the masculine form but cools down with rose and floral tones from the citrus and ginger. I quite enjoy this fresh scent 5 stars and again a 10th of the cost! It’s a no brainer!

Imo, everything from armaf is overrated. They can't get the citrus right and it's always obnoxiously sharp. That being said, Sillage wins by dq because I'm not paying over $300 for a bottle of anything. Mancera is as fancy as I'll go.

After going thru a bottle of smw that i received as a gift, I decided to give sillage a try. I am starting to think I got a bad batch of sillage or it has been reformulated. The only notes i can pick up is lemon/ bergamot. No green tea, no watery notes, no inkyness, no musks, no metallic notes, no florals. Everything that makes smw what it is, I don't get in sillage. anyone else experiencing this in 2024?

I get hit upside the head with a strong sense of CK one when I smell SMW, , I also have the armaf. The armaf defiantly stronger almost too strong . I think I’ll try mixing the silage with Ck one and see if it rounds it off to be closer to smoothness of smw . To be continued…..
