I want to try the Royal oud. It sounds great, and I've recently really been loving oud fragrances. One to check out is Oud Basics by Albani, it's not super expensive and it's really nice. Not a lot of info on KZbin or the internet even, but it's definitely a slept on fragrance

For me, Aventus will always be on top. I've also taken a liking to Himalaya and Erolfa. I'll definitely have to check out Viking it sounds immaculate.

Viking and royal oud both take the top spots for me. Easy to wear, but exciting and unique at the same time. A tough combo to get right!

I have Green Irish Tweed, Virgin Island Water, Viking and Aventus. VIW and Aventus are my most worn and Aventus is the only one I’ve ever been complimented on. VIW is my favorite to wear, but I can’t deny how good Aventus smells to others.

I will agree with others that Royal Oud is a great Creed and a very approachable introduction to oud fragrances if you're new. I'd also say you should give a sniff to Royal Delight, an oldie and very sexy smell. BUT I think my favorite Creed is Pure White Cologne. Very dramatic and fresh white floral. Always gets compliments and not overpowered or overpowering.

Green Irish Tweed is a must have. It is versatile, greatly appreciated by both my women and men acquaintances, and a strong performer. There is a timeless elegance to it that plays well in any formal setting. Along with Aventus and Bois du Portugal it is an easy 10/10 for me.

Chris. Green Irish tweed, is THE creed fragrance. Still nothing like it, still the top grade. It’s a tuxedo frag that’s still rugged, I mean what other fragrance can you even say that about. For me it’s the number one fragrance of all time, period.

Virgin Island Water is my all-time favorite Creed, with Aventus a close second. I have a decant of Royal Mayfair and it's one I definitely want to get a bottle of.... it's so unique. I love Royal Water also. Not sure if they still make it but I still have a bottle of it and always thought it's one of the most underrated from the brand. I'd recommend trying that one as well as Royal Oud which is a masterpiece.

I have 2 fat bottles of creed I got from a farmers market and for People that have complained about creed freaking amaze me because it’s like how could you, yes it has that masculine aura, like a old school man with a touch of sweetness but how good it smells and projects in that area ranks high and unmatched. As a guy Creed will always be a scent of mines !!

I absolutely love the Aventus dna. I have a bottle of Venitian Blue edp from Merchant of Venice and it has the smoky birch that Aventus seems to be lacking now.

If you're in the US and have a Costco membership, keep an eye on the website. Costco had a really good sale on Creed frags last month. I scored a bottle of VC for $140 and Himalaya for $145. Both 100 ml.

I see Ross from TLTG bought Viking Cologne from the same sale. I think fragrances are about 15% less expensive in the states as a rule of thumb. Ive always hated the opening of viking but the dry down is sensational. Problem is, i can never smell the dry down on myself, so it’s far more pleasant to me on a sample card on my side drawer than wearing it.

You should try Arnaqueur de Prix edp cologne elixir...which is French for price gouger. 🤣. I really like Creed fragrances, I just wish that they were more reasonable, like a lot of fragrance houses, I just wish it was a little bit more reasonable. And can we even call them truly a niche house anymore because they were bought out by Black Rock investment company? All to say, have you tried their new ones, Centaurus and Carmina (slightly older and way more fem leaning, but great rose!)? It's pretty fun 🙂 thanks as always for your awesome content, Chris!

Chris - great summary of your Creed collection. I own: Aventus (2012 bottles), SMW, Original Vetiver, Royal Oud, Milesime Imperial, Green Irish Tweed, Himalaya and Original Santal. My favourite? Creed Original Santal. Original Santal and MB Individuel (which I own so I can do side-by-side comparisons) are not as close as people say. Yes, they are similar, but MB Individuel smells like a synthethic mess. Santal is beautiful and I get a LOT of compliments wearing it? Original? I don't really care - it's my favourite.

I eas in John Lewis in Manchester recently and i was disapponted (and a bit confused actually) by Original Vetiver. It doesn't come across to me as a vetiver fragrance AT ALL. It smells like a basic barber shop neroli fragrance. Nice, but available super cheap under countless brands.

Green Irish Tweed for sure, I have it and love it. My ratings for Creed's that I own would go 1- Viking 2- Green Irish Tweed 3- Aventus I bought into the hype of the Aventus, and to me, it smells like a community college locker room, just my opinion. Viking is really good, though. I agree with the 10/10 rating. I would give Green Irish Tweed a 9 or 10/10 as well with Aventus being maybe a 6.5/10

Agree that Viking is the best. I have 7. Viking, Original Santal, Aventus, Aventus Cologne, Himalaya, Erolfa, SMW. Would love to own VIW for it’s uniqueness. Erolfa is hurt by the diabolical performance, but smell wise that would possibly be second of those I own.

Royal Oud was my #1. It has dropped to #3 after the latest releases from Creed. Delphinus, & Centaurus are absolutely amazing!!!

Viking is the most expensive unique creed i have smelled. Its so unique that i feel different vibes with different wearings. Sometimes i feel more cinnamon in the winter, sometimes it smells like a metallic rose. Someties i get the mint more than anything, and sometimes in the summer its a bit lemony. No other scent that i ever used or smelled did that. Its very unique, but usually suits the most 30+ year old men. Women and younger guys usually dont comprehend this scent and say it smells like an old man blah blah blah.
