I had the 2003 and 2014 batches of SMW, loved it. An absolute stellar frag. Repurchased it again in late 2019, jeez, Creed have destroyed it. Zero projection, zero longevity, if I hadn’t bought it from the Creed counter in Selfridges I would’ve sworn it was a fake. I returned it and got a refund. I bought a bottle of Armaf Sillage and when I tried it it took me straight back to the 00’s. It’s an absolutely fantastic clone of the OG Silver mountain water. Highly recommended. Don’t waste your money on Creed.

Totally agree Creed destroyed SMW I bought it for $300 but the longevity is only 1-2 hours it sucks!!

Thanks for an exciting video. I got Club de Nuit Sillage by Armaf a few weeks ago. And I've never smelled Silver Mountain Water by Creed. All I can say is that, Club de Nuit Sillage by Armaf smells amazing on me. For a very long time and I am very grateful for. Greetings.

I’ve got a 2020 bottle of Silver Mountain water and it smells great, it really does, but like you said performance is just horrific. Maybe horrific is too strong of a word, performances just bad. I get about 30 maybe 40 minutes of moderate projection and then it completely disappears within 3 1/2 hours. For the price you’re paying and a prestige behind the name I would definitely expect better. I’ve been fighting myself for the past week and a half not to buy something Neel but I think I might Cave in stop in to aura fragrance and pick up a bottle of Sillage My buddy Michael buffer was telling me his bottle of Siaj will go a full 10 rounds.

I'd love to hear how Cremo Silver Water & Birch compares to Sillage. I have the Cremo and really like it, I just wonder if the Sillage is even better.

I have the Cremo and the Armaf. They smell super similar but the Armaf has a richer smell with more longevity to me.

The Cremo stays in my gym bag for the post workout shower. Also got the body wash as well. But longevity is just not there. Smells good in the air. However that Armaf will last throughout the day. Honestly, you can get both for $50 bucks. But if you're satisfied with Cremo, stick with that.

i bought this about 2 weeks ago a 50 ml bottle . having tried the 2020 batch , even if It lastre 2 hours ,i told myself that i love this smell.... When i recieved the bottle It was a 2021 batch mad in december...and they completly change the smell , they have changed the fragrance....and the longevità was about 20 mins. 😢

Just ordered Sillage after having smelled Silver water in the store, honestly so far I haven’t enjoyed club de nuit fragrances. The are all too synthetic in the opening for me to wear, but hoping this one will change my mind on the brand.

Ordered (3/20) CDN Sillage should be in my hands next week. Never smelled SMW. I’ve watched easily 10 vids on SMW vs CDN SILLAGE. (❤️ I love your description of being at a hot spring and glacial water. I could almost imagine the smell. ) based on reviews, for $37.98 - I CANT GO WRONG. I’ll NEVER spend more than $250 for 100mL of fragrance. I did spend $24 for 2mL of Oud For Greatness but I made up for it by purchasing 100mL *clone Oud For Glory for $50 - *95% similarity on drydown and I get 2-3 hours instead of 8. So when I wear it, I take a travel atomizer with me.

@@My2Scents the Silliage was rather pleasant… no pun intended. However up close it has the signature CDNI horrible synthetic smell. Kind of smells like burnt plastic to be honest. Can’t see my self wearing it, I’d go for the original despite the performance issues.

I've also had issues with Creed in the last few months as I bought a new Aventus and the scent is completely different from the old ones. The fragrance feels watery and doesn't last even 2 hours. From now on I will not buy anything from the brand again.

I have SMW and Sillage and I think so far SmW is more softer sweeter higher quality. Sillage rn for me is harsh very strong. 1 spray of sillage is enough for me. SMW Smells to me better very easy to smell pick out the notes. Silllage is a little too synthetic and too strong for me right now. I just got sillage a week ago so I'll give it more time. Right now SMW is my favorite.

smw smells way more natural,i bought a bottle in 2020 and it's honestly one of my best projection creeds. I have aventis Viking cologne original vetiver and Himalaya and the silver mountain water projects the best, i don't mind any clone but when they smell synthetic

I understand what you are saying, but I have a friend who is sensitive to fragrances. All of the fragrances I wear she has an allergic reaction to except one brand: Creed. She has no allergic reactions to any Creed I wear.

I tried Silver Mountain Water at Nordstrom and was obsessed and fell into the hype and bought it discounted on Maxaroma. But when tried a full wear of this stuff, I found that I had to spray a lot of it for it to last all day. That's kind of insane for such a high price point. I'm not gonna sit here and try to convince myself that it's worth it. The poor performance alone does not make it worth it. I bought the Dossier and Armaf dupes and I'm waiting for them to arrive so I can really do a comparison and see which one I like more, because I like to give every brand a fair shot. There's a good chance I'll end up returning the OG if I like the Dossier or Armaf dupes. We'll see!

I think the first question to ask is: Is this fragrance quality enough to be worth the $45? ..and does it smell nice? and the answer to that is ABSOLUTELY! With that said…… I’m glad I decided to buy last week. Now that I’ve sprayed it (10min ago) WOW!!! I’ve never smelled SMW but several YT reviewers have said things like.. “it’s a 95% accurate clone”, “better that the original”,“ Sillage is what Silver Mountain Water used to be before the reformulations”, “it’s like an amped up SMW”, and even called it “Creed Killer” 😳 Even at online discounters SMW is $250-$330 for tester bottles with missing caps. If you walk up to the average fragrance counter and say show me what I can get for $50. You aren’t going to get a fragrance this solid. This smells awesomely good 😍!!! Buy it!! You won’t be disappointed, and if you are… Gift it to someone… they won’t be disappointed.

Poor Jimmy 😂. I made the mistake of buying aventus a couple of years ago, I'd never buy another creed fragrance. Constant reformulation means you never know what you're gonna get, it's quite unfair really, besause if you buy a new bottle of something you know and love, it's almost like you're getting cheated by the brand!

take roughly 5000 ball point pens...of any color, doesn't matter. Crack them and put the ink into a bottle, you get sillage. I'll be throwing my bottle out soon...you're welcome for the DIY

I find Armaf Sillage a bit sour/chemical-smelling up close. I never get that sour chemical smell with SMW. However, in the air, you can't really tell difference. I have to say SMW really isn't worth it compared to Sillage. Gotta say Armaf wins the battle for me.
