Vietnam war era. I was young at that time but still remember the music of CCR being played in our neighborhood. Vietnam is near my Country. I lived in a City with an American base and there was a place just walking distance from our house named "Fleet Reserve" and every Weekend, the US servicemen with their wives or dates would have dances and CCR music would be played. Memories!

My dad died 2 weeks ago. 4 weeks ago was the first time i saw him in 3 years and the last time. Last friday was the funeral. This was one of his fav songs, and was played on the funeral. I still cant believe he left me at 13 years old...

Your dad left you with his beloved music continue to enjoy listening to this music it will calm your mind and your spirit. You are still growing into a young man. Go forth in life remember your father and cherish your Dad’s memories. Love ones leave behind family’s for different reasons it’s not your fault that Daddy left. The Lord had a reason it’s up to you to embrace his memories and enjoy your life. Play this song whenever you are lonely or thinking of your Dad. This song will warm your heart ❤️💕❤️. Guaranteed he loved you! You are his son forever in his heart. Sometimes things happen with mom\dad relationships and life takes a turn. Just know if it could have been different he would want you by his side forever. Now, it’s what you do with this that matters most! Be encouraged! Use it for the good of you and others and God will use this as stepping stone for you to grow stronger! And to help others get through hard times too! Just Know You Are Loved!! And many people here are 🙏 praying for you🥰 and you can stop this in your family line. And do things differently! God Bless You! God is the best Daddy Ever!! Use this situation to know Your Papa God in Heaven and you will be skyrocketed to the 4th dimension and be provided for by God if you Believe in Him! 🙏😃 I am praying for You! Many Blessings to you!

The original by CCR is still the only version I care to listen to. There have been a lot of people who have covered it, but even John Fogerty later in life doesn't sound the same. His voice was raw and powerful during these years and fortunately I was there to hear it the first time.

This was the first song of my dads funeral.. This was the favorite music of Vietnam combat warriers so my dad said. This was his favorite band. He was a combat Medic and a hero without many awards because he refused to accept a purple heart etc... we played this off youtube for him on his death bed and he sang along with it I will never forget, the love........ for Earth, humans, life, his children, ...he made me promise not to cry and to always be happy and enjoy my life or he would be upset....im happy dad...im glad u told me to stay happy!!!! This is what all fathers want and mothers to be exact and God wants us to be happy. It will be done, lol! Until I see you again...I will be happy I promise! Love is out there!!! My late husband wanted Midnight Special played at the church when we were married. I said "no way". So we compromised, I agreed to play it at his funeral. Guess what?! This hit makes me think of my old best friend, we were out for a date so we drove few kilometers out of Windhoek. We packed the car in nowhere and few minutes after it start to rain and the guy I was with, said let me play a song for you guys that goes with this weather. This hit was played, hmmm we have rain on sunny days too!!!😜😜

No. John Fogerty wrote "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" during a chaotic time in the history of Creedence Clearwater. Just before the Pendulum sessions, the other members of the group called a meeting, and they insisted on a change to the management structure of the band. Everybody would have a vote. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" basically describes the breakup of the band (John Fogerty, Fortunate Son, 2015).

*Quien en el 2018? Me encanta el sentimiento de esta canción, casi puedes ver al hombre cantando con el alma, te transmite su energía y tristeza a la vez..., nada en común con la música rápida chatarra de ahora; Fuerza Hermanos Guatemala*

I've just dared to make a remake of this classic. I do hope that by and by falling out of the sky -oh, gee!- I'll be seeing manna! I do hope that drop by drop it'll rain manna nonstop. My Lord! Hear me sing hosanna! I wanna feel my Lord's blessings, grace and power! I wanna see God's Word raining like a shower coming down on me every day! My English class & I are going to sing both the song & my remake tomorrow. Sing along as we'll be singing in Russia. I'm 72 but CCR makes me feel young!
