With such generous sponsors (plastic bait sponsors…), fish them year round. No need for endless live minnow videos in the summer. We all know they will catch fish, but support the companies that support you all year long. Never fished minnows this summer and caught tons of crappie on hand ties and plastic baits. Nothing wrong with a few minnow videos once in a while to mix it up, but plug the guys that support you and show that “summer fish” will eat jigs too. This video was a nice change…..jig’em!
@903fishing2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your support in watching the videos. However, I do not have livescope as you should know by now. I know the minnow videos might get old in the summer. It’s understandable. But I don’t have the privilege of dropping a jig in front of a crappies face with livescope. Minnows will be way more productive and save time being on the water when it gets 100+ degrees in the summer at 10am. I definitely will try to use jigs more in the summer. But in the creeks I will be using jigs 90% of the time. And when the water temp is 90+ live bait just works better! Thanks for watching and the support! God bless
@robmersinger59912 жыл бұрын
Nothing to do with the live sonar. I am a subscriber and enjoy your channel. You are a good fisherman and are very capable of catching crappie in the heat on jigs. Just would love you to show the viewers and your bait “sponsors “ that anyone catch catch fish on jigs even in tough hot conditions. I love your home lake and caught some beautiful crappie this summer when it was 105 degrees ….on jigs, no live sonar. Just love on the people that love on you….even when the heat is on

This one is my favorite because it's the first video I came across when I discovered your channel and was immediately hooked. And watched it to learn how to start fishing in the river a little more and where to locate or best look to find the crappie. And was really amazed of how the thump gel worked after they would get finike but commit right back to eating. Along with other lures going right past their faces and they wouldn't react. It was very cool to see

@@903fishing thank you! You always talk about the ACC Crappie Stix, and especially the 8 foot with Super Grips you use most of the time, but I would love to see and read about the gear you take with you EVERY trip, regardless of boat / bank, stream / river / pond/ lake. One of the things I love about watching your channel is that you use a bunch of BUDGET FRIENDLY gear! Many of us don’t have thousands and thousands of dollars to drop into fancy boats, high-end electronics, and the like… so to see you doing what you do using gear and equipment that is reasonably affordable for the common person is awesome! Another example is the cooler, I believe it’s an older igloo, not a $300+ Yeti! Even the Crappie Stix are reasonably priced. Thanks again for the great videos and information!

Obviously by your content you’re slaying’em lol but because you’re slip bobber jigging, do you sometimes find that you’re missing fish because while you jig you’re pulling the jig up the water column and away from the crappie?
@903fishing2 жыл бұрын
It’s just the opposite. That slip bobber keeps the jig(s) in the water column/strike zone. Just my opinion. If you are popping the jig with no bobber you have no control on where that jig is stayin in the water column or strike zone! It works for me! Thanks for watching! God bless
@RealCamSmith2 жыл бұрын
@@903fishing Sorry I should’ve clarified… do you feel that a slip bobber pulls the jig up the strike zone compared to a bobber with a coil because the jig is at a fixed depth. Thanks for the response and God bless you too.

@@RealCamSmith I think either one will work. I don’t use fixed bobbers very often. Love me some slip corks.
