Much respect Mr. Fishing Machine, and hi to Momma Sue. Your creeks in Northern Alabama sure are beautiful. I love the ethics you have to walk them and spot the fish you catch. Your confidence seems to make them bite. As well, you know your daddy’s watching over and is proud. Stay awesome.

Been fishing big lakes out of an 18' tracker the last couple years. Lots of fun. But because of our man Gene here last week I drove over to a little creek i hadnt fished in a long while, fished light with a rebel craw and a little white spinnerbait, and caught largemouth, smallmouth, white bass, couple nice bluegill, one crappie, a channel cat-- it was fantastic! Had a blast and thanks to Richard Gene for reminding me how much fun those creeks and streams are.

When I was 8 my Dad bought a little 5 acre place across the street from a Michigan state trout hatchery. Blue Creek ran through them ponds and through a culvert under the road then through our 5 acres. I know about fishin them deeper holes. Such good memories. No bass or gills, just trout and some up to 5 pounds...mostly 10-12 inches but now and again...Thanks for the memories Richard, I like your videos.

I too, have a lot of creeks here in the Ozark foothills. I purchased two float tubes to hit the creeks in the hot summer. You should consider one. I would also like to say that one of my favorite rigs is a split shot two feet above a single hook on which I put a night crawler. I use a hypodermic syringe to inject an air bubble in the worm's "hind end" This makes them float head down butt up and the fish can't stand it. Good luck, I really enjoy you videos.

Most creeks hard to find access to or they are dammed up for the rich to make private lakes or just don't have fish in them partly cause farmers use them. I know over just forty years ago there use to be a lot more decent fishing holes like the one your showing us. But "hey", God Bless You ! You bring good memories back.

Grew up fishing a creek near my house in Red Oak, TX was I was a boy. Could catch bass, bream, and catfish if you were willing to tiptoe past water moccasins to get from hole to hole. Haven’t fished a creek since then. Your video makes me want to go back.

I fish the little Chickamauga creek a couple miles from my house, right under Chattanooga TN. Theys some big fish in there. During the bass spawn early this year I caught a 8lb3oz largemouth there. Theys also a lot of big forage in there I seen a lot of shad and I seen a 10" gizzard shad layin dead. The dang shame of it all is I dont never see no kids fishin...
@billwalker48366 жыл бұрын
@Slowstang88 that's why they tell ya to "take a kid fishin." They need to be showed how to tie knots and how to sneek up on them holes and the art of hunting for and fishin with a Folger's can of worms or crickets. These aren't skills you learn on a game boy or whatever fangled electronic gadget is currently fashionable. Back in the 60s my unc took me out in the boat and said Billy we gonna catch our supper. And we caught a mess of nice blugills. Then it was game on...gotta get them out there and make them memories they never forget!
@slowstang886 жыл бұрын
@@billwalker4836- I taught my sons all them things, but there friends dont never want to go. All the decent fishin hole I had as a kid are now really good cause ain't nobody but me and my boys fishin them.

I have a very nice creek running by my property. Wish we had rocks to walk down and stand on. Louisiana has more of a jungle along the bank with lay downs every few feet. Hard to wade. Plenty of fish tho. But u have to work hard to get a stringer. Thanks. You are the man

hey Gene another great video....you a right about the green algae. this stuff is down right dangerous..a nasty fall ,fishing by yourselves out in the middle of nowhere could spell disaster.. a good tip is to use felt soled wading boots or shoes or just glue some on to your favorite wading footwear this prevent "slipping and sliding on those pesky rocks

I love your creek fishing videos. It’s my favorite thing to do in Missouri. The other day I watched one of those police brutality videos and it just broke my heart. I shouldn’t have done that in this stressful time But needless to say I needed something to bring me joy and so watched a few of your videos. They are like medicine for me right now. Thank you Richard. 🐸💚

I caught my PB red ear/shell cracker. It was over 11 inches however it weighed around 2 lbs. I did not know what is was until it was in the boat, took a picture, and looked it up. Do to the spots on it I thought it was a some kind of hybrid crappie/sunfish. When released it still looked like a bass from top due to how thick and long it was. That was an ultra light tackle catch (I use 4lb test, I m not as brave as you with 1 or 2). it fought like a spotted bass just striping line again and again, it was amazing. I Catch it in Lake Norman (North Carolina) at a bridge while trying to catch a crappie. thx again for your show

Found you just recently and really enjoying the videos. Lack of wild areas like this where I live. Where they do exist it is all private property. Mostly little city park ponds around here. :( Also can't get out like you due to bad back issues but watching your videos I feel like I am out there right beside you. God Bless.
