You know, you figured it out when you went to the Nikko Hellgrammite and you were at the 8:30 mark in the video. That was the stretch where you were fishing the grass stands along the far bank and it was next to the deep channel. You caught more quality fish in that stretch than I saw you catch at any other stretch. The Rock Bass in particular was a very healthy looking fish, along with several Smallies, especially that one you caught later on that was the largest smalley. Great video John. Loved this one.

Yep, John, the water level in all our creeks is low right now. We had rain for several days in a row, so the clarity is down some. i had to chuckle a little at the point when you said" there's a whole herd of smallies going under that tree" ! Gotta love our Appalachian dialect ! Always love the WORD. I have noticed some other channels giving a bible reading of a few verses also. Spreading the beautiful WORD of GOD is a blessing to all. I pray that everyone who hears will be doers also. Please keep up the good work. Pap Blevins

John it’s absolutely amazing seeing the behavior between your tournament fishing then watching you fishing in a creek or river! The mental preparation you need to fish under pressure the time you need to find the fish or dealing with a fish you lost and trying to keep yourself focus to place in a high position! Wow to see so relax commentating your whole experience walking in these creeks and rivers kayaking, in these rivers then participating in a tournament is like you completely put on a different hat. I sure do enjoy both experiences and love to see you being home some hardware especially in the kayak adventure series where your competing with some amazing top anglers! So tight lines sir take care and God bless and can’t wait to see you place 1st place!❤

Great video John. I never get tired of wandering creeks for smallies and whatever shows up. The new Rebel soft caterpillar looks pretty good and they made it right. A few creeks we fish produce similar sizes but there are the occasional 18-19 plus inch smallies that turn up for us. Your enthusiasm never wavers brother. Blessings

Hey man, love the vide, amazing as always! Just a question, though. I fish some ultra clear water, (a river you’ve actually fished in the past before) and I always have difficulty with fish seeing me before I see them, or me spooking fish. What’s the best way to fix this? I cast on places before I walk them but then nothing bites, and two seconds later a 16” smallie shoots out from nowhere! Any advice appreciated. God bless.

Personally, I wear darker colored shirts. I think John wearing a white shirt allows the fish to see him too easily.

Where the heck you find all these amazing creeks where there is literally nobody there, you can walk it for miles and there isn't any houses or private property to bother you????? I live in georgia and basically everything that looks like this is private
@MetatronsCube234 ай бұрын
Water ways are not private, even if they go through private land. If you stay in the water they can't stop you from fishing it as long as you entered the water via public land. The only waters that are private are lakes or ponds fully within private land. You can go up or down any creek/river etc.
@NeoWickSpeed4 ай бұрын
@MetatronsCube23 I think in georgia it is navigable waters. Not super shallow creeks that aren't navigable by boat and they are trying to go even further currently with laws on the books
