@ 6:16 that fish is actually a Longear Sunfish (Lepomis megalotis). It can be distinguished from the pumpkinseed by its lack of a red tab on the ear, and the fact that said tab is much larger and bordered by white. Great catch, love your videos!

its surprising how much fun catching those fish is on 4lb test and a 5 ft pole, my creeks usually hold fish about that size but every once in a while u will snag a 15incher, or even 10lb carp in the deep parts, thats when skill and pacience comes into play!lol cheers

dude nice video. Hey here's a tip use a lighter rod and lighter line and then you won't horse them and you'll keep more on. And pumpkinseed powerbait grubs work amazing for them. But great vid.

The winter is getting to me i really want to fish in my creek but to cold for me to get in to that icy water my creek is a bigger creek but not as much action u have to work for smallies at mine which is why i like some of the small creeks that have fish that bite really good by the way have u ever tried a yum money craw the biggest smallmouth ive caught has been on one of those and i bet that big smallmouth that got off ur hook might go back after that money craw

I used to catch fish in my creek that size and it's a long creek too and theres a spot under a tunnel of train tracks and over the Train Tracks theres tons of creek chubs everywhere blocked but haven't been there for awhile because theres still snow on the ground :( me and my friend used to think they were baby carp.And we accidentally killed one that was just huge and we were netting them and it went under a rock and we moved it and it was dead because it got smashed :( :(

well im 13 and when i was 7 or 8 i went fishing with my grandpal and his friend ans i had this really big pole and i hoked this hudge 67.39 catfish and i had fell in the water and my gradpal and his friend help me get the cat fish. luckley i made it back to shore but that was my best day and my biggest fish

there are 3 small (like 1 foot but skinny) largemouth bass in this shallow part of our creek. I have tried quite a few different worms (5 inches) watermelon, white and chartreuse, and original worm color. They are extremely stubborn... Any advice?
