I love creek fishin, it is very close to my heart. I can nearly smell this video.

Hey John, I want to compliment you on something you said. You said that sometimes you have to do something that the bass do not anticipate, like throwing out that bluegill while still on your line. You presented a target to that fish that was 100% natural, something that they would consider edible in a heartbeat. You fooled that Bass into hitting that bluegill and it was darn clever if you ask me. Then you had the wherewithal to maintain your composure through the entire fight, not getting excited. All in all you played this one just right, from presentation to landing. You're confidence level is growing in the process to, you can see it on film. Well done brother.

I've caught some big bass with very light line, but never, ever with a hook that tiny. And, for that matter, mine were always in open water with no logs or other structure to swim under or through. That was one amazing catch. That was also why I love ultra light fishing more than any other kind. It's easy to horse a big bass in when you're using forty pound braid, but landing one with two pound test, and with logs in the equation, makes it a huge thrill when it goes right.
@CreekFishingAdventures5 жыл бұрын
i always enjoy using lighter line, but this was a little extreme

Incredible. Crazy that TINY hook held that big bass. My personal best bass was this year on a live bluegill I had been in the process of trying to reel in. Hook wasn't quite as small, but the fight was very similar. Took me up under multiple dock posts. By some miracle it did not come off, it weight almost 6 lbs.
