What a great spot. I’m in my late 50’s and I grew up fishing creeks in central Tx. As a U.S. ARMY Retired Veteran, I fished all over the U.S. and I still love creek fishing. Thanks for sharing and Fish On!

You really need to take your kayak out the Illinois river around the northwest Arkansas Oklahoma border. There are public access points spread out along the river. The best way is to float from one access point to another. Lots of big smallies, some spotts, and largies. Me and my friends have caught tons of bass over 2 lbs just this year. If you just want to wade a lot of the river is shallow enough to do so. They fight super hard in the current!

Wow, it's literally "peak" season for "Creek Fishing Adventures"! Went fishing today in my favorite local pond and caught many perch, 6 large enough to clean, but zero large-mouth bass. Been a tough year to catch bass this year for me. Had a great time as I fished 5:30 am to 8:00 am - enjoying the l-o-n-g days!

That's why we all love your channel. Boy Howdy, when you fell, I think we all felt the pain ! We know because we've all been there, with scars to prove it ! I hope I haven't jinxed you, because I always try to say "always be careful" . Great view of the waterfall ! I was in Cookville on the 14th-16th. Family reunion in Smithville. Someday I hope our paths cross. Would like to buy you some Mexican food....... I think you MIGHT like that style of food ! 😄 Pap Blevins

Very cool that you swapped outfits with your fishing partner. He just didn't have enough line on the spool and thirty pound braid is way too much. I am sure next time he hits the creek he will put the knowledge he picked up to good use. I love the creek wading vids. It was interesting that when I saw the notification it said uploaded 57 seconds ago. I thought dang I might be first to comment but eight people had already commented. You have quite the following.

John, do you get run by property owners much? I live app 15 miles from crazy horse on the Buffalo river in Tennessee. Lot of small creeks but property owners will not let you get on their land. If you go in where you have access , you will be walking on their property. It makes fishing the creek not worth the trouble.
