Florida River Fishing on NEW KAYAK!!

Met up with @AaronsOutdoor1 for a kayak fishing trip on the Sante Fe river in north Florida. Got to use my new @crescent-kayaks crescent shoalie for the first time and had fun scooting around and catching fish off of it. Thanks to Frontier Outdoors in Kingston, Tennessee for providing the Kayak. The fishing started slow but quickly picked up when I switched to the Nikko hellgrammite and bass started biting it.

John, John, John.....Down there in Florida, catchin' them fish, and havin' yerself LOADS of fun! You caught yourself, and me, by surprise, when your new Kayak hit that underwater knob! I was thinking "I hope he didn't knock a hole in his new kayak". That was definitely too close for comfort! Also:Love the video that you shot of the turtles...and of that toothy little critter (The 'Gator), just sittin' there watchin' you go by up above him, and just chillin' out. That was really cool! I can tell ya, though:I wouldn't wanna have to tangle with one of those little Devils! I'm sorry to have to tell you this-But I'm gonna have to do it. I'm gonna have to make a special trip down to ya there at the ol' home place...and teach you how to sing!!! 😆🤣😆🤣😆!!! (Just kidding)! All in all, looks like you had a great day of fishin'. Good ole hellgrammite lol. I was pulling crappie out of the lake with one a couple weeks ago up here in ohio. I can’t wait for warmer temps. Just something about fishing for smallmouth that tops all the rest for me. But wife wife just opened up a whole new can of worms and bought me a fly rod/reel and flies and a vest so it looks like I have reason to target for trout in these cooler months and of course I’m going to take it out to my favorite two rivers and go for smallies too! Nice kayak. The only thing missing is the pedal drive. Might be the one that will help you in your next tournament. Seems very maneuverable. Great scenery as always. That yak looks much more nimble than your other but I did notice your video image was rocking a lot more. Not to the point of distraction but those big boat kayaks sure are stable. That said I'm currently paddling peddling a feel free lure 11.5 and it's pretty much a barge I love the stability but it's a workout to paddle and I would love to feel that quickness of the crescent,myself.

You should try the Chipola river. Shoal bass , largemouths and spots.

What's the outdoor temps down there when you're fishing in the winter?

3-4 hours....shoot, in my kayak I'm hurting after 30 min. It's brutal. Only reason I haven't brought it along when you've come down to fish before, it's literally just too much agony to spend the day in. I'm hoping we can work a trip or two in around the north Georgia area but definitely need to get out your way next!
