You know, I've experienced worse shit personally and know exactly how OP feels in the sense that after enough time those horror stories become kinda easy and fun to tell to people like (here's some of mine) "Have I ever told you about the time one of my exes would show up to my games, get drunk and sexually harass every male NPC to try to seduce me?" "You know, I've once had two people that were interested in me try to bribe me for preferential treatment when I was DMing and would pick in character fights over who gets to flirt with my NPCs" "Have I ever told you the time I had to immediately kick someone out for repeatedly attempting to describe their NE warlock sexually assaulting a defenseless woman in an alleyway? He was also the same guy that once pissed his pants at my friend's house and stuffed the guy's garden hose in his pants to soak his clothes as to try to not make it embarrassing but then we had to explain to the guy's dad why the guy was walking through the yard with 100% soaked jeans with every other piece of clothing being 100% dry" and "Have I ever told you about the time one of my DMs made a self insert goddess and got pregnant with another character's baby andthen proceeded to try to remake undertale in their game except every character was either an asshole, extremely dumb or both?" I mean I've also had stories where two players actually almost got into a physical fight because they kept trying to PVP so much that I just made both of them effectively impossible for to kill since one was a necromancer with a stone to preserve their soul and one could literally activate a mist form ability to escape death once per day so they'd just leave and hide and come back to fight another day. One player had gripped their own car keys so hard they sliced their hand open and started bleeding all over the floor. Don't worry though, they're both still really good friends and the one that almost got violent has recently been through therapy and the other guy realized he was also being a dick when I sat him down and explained to him that while he had a right to be upset about the PVP, that didn't mean he had a carte blanche check to irritate the other player. I ended that campaign and basically told both players that they either make characters that can work together or leave. Key guy left but eventually came back due to therapy alongside me talking with him to realize that he values the group as friends enough to admit he made a mistake and not flip out again. I still play with those two dudes to this day funnily enough. Even after moving away the party surprised me and told me I was allowed to join in sessions digitally because they believed that I should be the only exception to the rule that we don't phone people in. So while I've had many horror stories over my years, it all ended up with me finding a family rather than just a gaming group.

Perhaps he was asking "Is it gay if this chick is voiced by a dude? But like, if I alter the voice so it's girlier?" and... he just wasn't ready for the possibility that maybe, just maybe, he himself had more of an attraction spectrum than his upbringing had programmed him to accept. Hence lashing out with the tired old "No no I'm not one of them, I hate them, see!?" ...Also, it's still a reeeeally creepy thing to do with clips of someone's voice without their knowledge or permission though.

@@hazukichanx408 You're reading way too into this. The guy had an obsession with a character, and only ONE person can voice this character exactly as the character is in game. Because OP is that character by extension. He was calling OP gay because OP didn't like porn being made of his voice, and the indie artist incorrectly went a step further and decided OP hated the H-animation involving a female character. Hence, why he called OP a "f****t". "What do you mean you don't like the pron I made involving hetero sex! You're gay!" is essentially what that guy was saying, which wasn't the point but he doesn't sound like the type tp understand basic English especially when confronted and called out for being a disgusting creep. I am sure that if that guy just opened up to the table, "Hey, I'm an Indie 3D artist, I can make realistic renditions of your characters", that would garner some cool points. And even moreso if he had asked, "Hey, your character sounds kinda hot, want me to make her into an H-game protag?". And respecting whether OP says yes or no. I'm sure a compromise would have been, "yeah, make my badass character, but please don't do H stuff with them".

At best it can lead to some really interesting character development, not just weird interactions. I'm dealing with the first romantic interest in one of my games and so far its genuinely turning out to be pretty interesting. My character is a true neutral elf ranger who is generally apathetic to the world besides people she considers in her circle (though she is sneakily wholesome but hides it well). Despite her being 200+ years old she has assumed she is asexual since she has only ever had one crush and respected her superior too much to potentially ruin their mentor/mentee relationship. Now our barb has started getting really protective of her because she reminds him of his mother who he lost bc she was an adventurer who went off without backup, and he's worried my character will do the same. Its sparking a vulnerability in my character and a crack in her "armor" and her constant resting bitch face as she experiences interest in him. Its opening up for some really interesting potential in moving my character from an edgy character to the vulnerability of being a woman in love. Learning to find balance in an active adventurer party is going to be pretty fun to develop, imo. Playing dnd means roleplaying the life of another, sometimes that includes romantic interests and sometimes it doesn't.

They even told me they wouldn't do anything. This was after I couldn't get him to share all these recordings, because if he truly recorded every conversation we have, over the phone and in person, then that means he recorded himself constantly telling me and our then 6yr old daughter about how he plans on selling her if he every got custody of them over me. He thinks this is a seriously viable option to make money off the kids when using them as a weapon against me for yrs never got me to give him half my paychecks (we haven't been together since about 2 weeks before i found out about her and hadn't done anything since. He claims him and his gf need that money more than our 2 kids do.) Anywho, when that didn't work I took the messages he had sent me to the cops in order to document it. The fact that the first OP pretty nonchalantly said that this WASN'T the worst D&D experience he'd had blows my mind in the worst way. One of my "worst" tabletop experiences was probably one of my fellow players being annoyed with the fact that the party was on an uneven power level that had made certain things unfun for him for a while now, to which another player replied that it sometimes annoyed him when we didn't respond to eachother's rp hooks. Our response? We proceeded to immediately call in an emergency meeting to mitigate those problems because everyone should have equal fun at the table. A few rounds of house rules, meta talks and a promise to quickly speak up about potential future problems instead of letting them fester later, we've all grown as a ttrpg AND friend group. We now feel much more confident in our own abilities and know we can count on our friends to be open about their problems in the future, aswell as go the extra rp mile without things getting awkward, because we've set clear boundaries and respect eachother. How people not only end up, but continue staying in such horrendously toxic groups such as in this subreddit continues to amaze me, and also makes me thankful for the great group I have.

Probably happens way more than you think, or at least I've seen the dynamic IRL many many times. Many women are completely incapable of dealing with rejection especially if they're the ones that have made the first move or gone after the guy, because most women are used to men coming after them and then either saying yes or no to that so when a guy turns down their advances it can be very damaging to their ego (as it can be to guys but given how the dynamics of flirting etc usually work most men have to get used to it after a while, and most of the horror stories of men losing their shit over rejection are almost always about men who have very little experience dealing with the opposite sex) and because they're not used to it they don't know how to handle it and go nuts... I myself have gotten a drink thrown in my face once, and on more than one occasion been shouted at that I'm probably gay, have a small 🍆, am probably bad in bed and last 5 second, etc etc when I've turned down womens advances, and most of the time I did so because I was in a relationship and told said women so politely... There are crazies and a-holes in basically *EVERY* group of people larger that 10 people or so, so obviously there are lots of men, women, left wingers, right wingers and whatever else like that, unfortunately that's just how life is and we really shouldn't ever be surprised when we see or hear about such a person no matter what the group they belong to is and how we expect them to be or behave...

@@DrZaius3141 Yeah I thought this story really did not make any sense either. Maybe not fake, but I think heeeeavily edited.

I once had a character spout actual jibberish and ask to persuade a guard with it. My response was, "Roll me a nat 20 and we'll talk." I didn't want to shut him down because the moment wasn't that serious, but he _was_ being ridiculous. He rolled a nat 20 in the exact moment he needed it. Weird stuff happens. That's life.

The fear and general confusion in your voice made me fearfully confused too and I was listening to it in the background while I was playing a game. It's good narration, but that was a terrifying story.

Fun fact: i dont know if there were anything criminal about it but you can sue this guy for using your voice on a product that, lets face it, he probably sold to some people, so its a copyright infringement

I've listened to a lot of these videos lately trying to learn dos and don'ts. And this I'd the first story that's made me physically react to it. Like holy shit, what is wrong with that guy?!
