Diving is pretty dangerous even without fooling around and playing saviors. It is only very recently that it became available for the public to have fun. It's a good creepypasta, well written, too. But kids, diving is dangerous and to be treated seriously.

I'm guessing the entire cave system was no deeper than 10 meters below the surface because the narrator didn't die of decompression sickness at the end. That being the case, the fact that they ran out of air suggests that they were either down there for freaking ages, or that they had a really small air supply.

Excellent story! One of the best I’ve heard in some time! Anyone notice that he never referred to the Prawns as Shrimp? As often they’re so similar if not the same, the term Prawn is used for just a Jumbo sized Shrimp. Yet in this occasion, there wasn’t anything that was “shrimpy” about those creatures. As in small. The term was deliberate. And well done as such! Oh, and after the many cave diving CreepyPastas that I’ve heard, I’m certain now that I’m never going to do it. Thanks CreepsMcPasta!

Ok, barely into this, and I’ll be damned if I’d go diving into some cave that begins with a tight fissure entrance. It also really intrigues me as to why don’t divers have any devices which allows them to communicate verbally, like some type of walkie talkie, of course waterproof, and I’m sure it could be made smaller and made a part of the equipment that’s already needed.

I mean tbh, that was almost the least weird part of that whole thing. His internal anatomy would also be an abhorrent, alien nightmare if you tried to apply it to any living creature, not to mention all the weird *electrical* flying jellyfish in there, and the *cows* of all things embedded in the walls in the Master Quest version. LoZ dungeon design principles and realistic (or even just vaguely sensical and non-nightmare fuel) biology clearly don't mix well

Okay. I’m an open water diver and I lost count of how many stupid, get-you-killed decisions these idiots made. Good story. But not particularly believable. Those who actually have advanced dive certification of some type have an immense level of respect for how dangerous it is to scuba dive.I don’t think anyone who is smart enough and disciplined enough to achieve a high-level certification would make such insane mistakes, even if it were a family member urging them to do so. I would never ever in 1 million years dive inside a cave, that shit is too dangerous and to different from open water diving for me to have any interest whatsoever.
