Thank you so much for reading my story, Creeps. On a Hill is very long, so I really appreciate the time you must have had to put into this one. Your reading was fantastic, and thank you to all of those who've left kind comments about my writing, it makes it all worthwhile :) ~ Mike

I don't often give this rating, but I'll go ahead and say 10/10. Articulate language, cultural accuracy, vivid imagination, perfect pacing, believable and sympathetic characters, always something to keep you interested, the scare factor, lack of clichés, original idea, deep and interesting lore, I could go on. It isn't my favourite pasta, but it's probably one of the highest quality. All in all a great story.
@MadAnime9639 жыл бұрын
i feel like i should be paying for this story, its so good. Like I would buy this as a short book. it even feels like a movie. hell, it would probably make a fantastic movie. is this really a creepypasta? the quality is so high. With all the crap thats on there, its surreal to think this was on there as well. Fantastic story. And Creeps, fantastic reading of it. you always do well, and really know how to convey voices and speak clearly. But you dont oversaturate it. I usually cant listen to people tell stories, because they try too hard to get into it, be overdramatic, ect. But you're way of speaking is very natural, and its easy to get into the story and not distracted by your voice. 10/10 on story and presentation!

Absolutely one of the best creepypastas in existence. It's refreshing to both listen to a story that is well written, and also isn't a spinoff or stupid cliche plot, but a brilliant original concept. I highly recommend you dedicate a full two hour chunk to just getting this story over with. I've been dragging my feet for a couple of months on whether I really wanted to dedicate the time to it (as once I start listening, I can't stop until I'm done), but now that I've listened to it, I can absolutely say that this is one of the only 1+ hour creepypastas worth your time, with Penpal and 1999 being the only others that come to mind. Listen to it. Trust me. You won't regret it.

As I have matured as a CreepyPasta listener and writer (I am now at the point where I can fall asleep not only listening to Jeff the Killer, but while looking at his face). I have found myself becoming more and more disappointed with not only the new style of Pastas and their horror-story-esque feeling that ironically removes all suspension of disbelief and thus makes them lose their scare value, but also with the quality of Pastas that I once found entertaining based either on writing errors or flaws in content. As such, I am always pleased when I find one that both is well written and has the feel of a classic pasta that is just believable yet vague enough to seem plausible (and thus terrifying). This Pasta accomplished both of those and blew me away. I applaud the author for their creativity and skill, and you for having the tenacity to read this entire thing. It's stories like this and No End House that got me hooked on Creepyasta years ago, and keep me coming back for more, so thank you.

Same here! As a person who LOVES to listen to stories, or read them, I’ve written a lot when I was younger, but haven’t tried recently. But you’re right, the “new” content, is all how should I put this?? “Fake” in away? You’ve got new channels, with AI voices that sound horrible and can’t pronounce many words correctly, no emotion, no nothing within the reading of the story, they seem like they are all A.I stories, no one put any thought into them. There’s this one channel, that literally every single story follows the same exact “structure”, always “I’m so n so,(add whatever name) and I’ve been living in a cabin in the woods…blah blah the man always has a dog or something, there’s always some big monster to battle, but by the stroke of luck every single time-the bad guy killed, good guy leaves the cabin, goes and lives back in the city. Literally, that’s the story outline for every. Single. One. It might have been channel 13 bodies, or gore creatures, but I’m pretty sure that it’s 13 bodies. No details that make the stories interesting, they’re lack luster and predictable at best. We need to keep creepy pasta narrations OUT of A.I’s hands, it’s ruining a great genre. The art and thumbnail nails, or sound design/effects are great- but not storytelling. If you’d like to listen to another great narrator who loves his fans, creates his own music for his channel/stories, works with other creepy pasta voicers- the channel name is Dark Somnium. He’s got a mixture of horror, gore, unexplained, call from the void stories, he’s great with his skills, and very humble dude. Been with that channel since its followers were in the 100’s. Now, he’s getting the recognition he deserves, just like this man!! Love Mr. Creepy pasta!!

Here's a simple solution to the "OH MY GOD IT'S TOO LONG" problem, since some people just love to complain. Listen to the video for 20, 30 minutes, then pull up Microsoft Word and write down the time you stopped at (or, if you're smart, you could just remember it). Then when you have time, listen to more of the story, then rinse and repeat. Seriously, there are so many simple solutions to any minor issue, yet people just feel the need to complain about everything. Get over it, Creeps worked hard on this video.

Dear Mr. Whitehouse and Creeps I cannot tell you how often this narration has lulled me comfortably to sleep. Such a wonderful story, perhaps my favorite of the OP's work yet, I immensely envy his poetic and thoughtful way of writing (my own is rather simplistic and to the point, although I think the concepts of my stories are often good) and Creep's voice is the cherry on the top. This is a massive project too, and a long story is the best to fall asleep to. Thank you both!

This is more like a novel; considering you can BUY it on Amazon, and the fact that it takes TWO HOURS to read. I always like the long pastas though. Also, whoever actually watches the screen the entire time deserves another cookie CreepsMcPasta

Ah, yes, the classic horror mindset of: "Oh, this place is haunted and evil, and anyone who goes there receives a terrible curse. GUESS I WON'T EVER GIVE ANYONE ANY DETAILS ABOUT IT EVER AND JUST BE REALLY CAGEY. THAT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BACKFIRE."

Quite an effective creepypasta, but I wonder whether the creature was supposed the wrathful spirit of the priest, or if they really meant it when they said it was older than humanity. It felt, at least to me anyway, that perhaps the wrathful spirit had possesed the priest, and that had been what had caused him to try and build on the hill in the first place, and drove him to madness.

If I was John, I'd have punched him. "Psychosamatic?! I've a hole in my side! I didn't think it there! And I was told fuck all about what was on that hill! Your idea that the villagers implanted the notions in my head doesn't work when all they do is say not to go on it!" Seriously, what a jackass this guy is. After hearing that story, he decides to go up the hill and somehow "save" the guy? You know what else would have worked? Waiting for the bus and leaving with him! John's fate was the result of normal skeptisism combined with professional interest and a sort of desire to insure that what happened to Dale's son never happened again. The narrartor, on the other hand, is just a know-it-all prat. To a skeptic, John was in no danger. Best thing for him was to go on home after his little streak of misfortune was over and see a shrink. There was NO reason to risk his own life. Even a skeptic, after hearing that story, would see that there was danger up there. Supernatural danger, no, but danger nonetheless. I'm not saying this hampers the story in any way, mind you. It's not like someone being this confident in their "rationalizations" is unheard of in either fiction or reality. I just...REALLY wanted to punch him when he started spouting about it all being in his head. THREE MONTHS!?

@davidmorningway60255 жыл бұрын
starlily doll have you heard it in reverse?? Sounds crazy, but its actually pretty nice. I first heard it in shadowman when you find Jack the Ripper in The Dark Tower in Deadside, In life he always listened to moonlight sonata and i guess in death he hears it backwards or something, but its not the reckless cluster of sound you would imagine it to be. It is melodic with almost rhythmic purpose.
