I'm an ignorant, but... The protagonist shouldn't have died the moment he's suit got pierced? I mean, the change of pressure in that part of the body should have just destroyed that arm/rest of the body. Sudden decompression is one hell of a thing, there were these deep sea divers, who literally were turned inside out/exploded by an error in a decompression chamber. Edit: The incident was in the Byford Dolphin oil rig, look it up.
@TWBIAP3 жыл бұрын
The byford dolphin incident was horrible, I can't imagine dying in such a gruesome manner just because your colleague didn't follow procedure. That being said yeah there are tons of technical inaccuracies in this story you can tell whoever was writing it was the call of duty playing pimply face gangly teen they mentioned in their story.

I mean only if it has superpowers, which there are more superpowered fish then you'd think. These dinguses made a diving suit that didn't have, I don't know, some air bags that could be inflated to easily ascend? Seriously, what a silly design. And the compartments were isolated?!? Unless it also sliced his arm off to seal the compartment, the water pressure is going to jam his arm back into the chest section in a half second.
@TheGuindo3 жыл бұрын
air bags like that would require compressed air canisters attached to the suit somewhere, which is more weight to carry down and then back up, and at a certain depth the canisters would just implode under the pressure anyway. even if you did get it working, the air expanding on the way back up would cause the air bags to rupture eventually, and in a heavy diving suit, you'd just start sinking again once they did. There is _also_ the fact that an uncontrolled ascent will fucking murder you. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ though maybe that's not an issue with the pressurized suit.
