This was great, just one problem: dude got stabbed in the lung and just slept it off? I'm really not sure what the point of that stabbing even was, it contributed very little and only served to make the end of that incident nonsensical - he went to the bathroom and passed out and then…what, woke up and was fine? I loved this story as a whole, it was all kinds of perfectly creepy, but that one point breaks the immersion for me, so I'm going to harp on it: If you get stabbed in the lung, you need IMMEDIATE medical attention, and even then your odds of survival are a toss-up, if you're coughing up blood right away you're going to run out soon - if you fight with a stab wound in your lung for several minutes and then pass out without a doctor at least on the way, you're not going to wake up. But he didn't call for medical aid, he just…slept it off? I'm sorry, that's just not how that works! And again, what was even the point of the stabbing??? What purpose did it serve, both to the characters (in universe) and to the story as a whole (for the writer)?! AAARGH, this story would have been basically flawless if not for this one plot point, it's so frustrating!
@heisenberg5123 Жыл бұрын
The injured older brother stabbed the protagonist because he was trying to kill him to prevent being sent back into the dark. I took the miraculous recovery as Greenwig having healed him. The fact he was watching from the shadows the entire time likely means the whole thing was all planned out as another 'game'.

@@GrumpyForestHag Leaving you sleep deprived and traumatized. Honestly, it is a brilliant way for the wish grander to get someone to actually ask for some interesting "favors" other than just material goods. It wasn't being as hard on the kids, maybe because their reactions weren't as interesting as what the teacher did. Or maybe because it was afraid of breaking the kids? One did run away after their parents got killed after all. So maybe it choose to fuck with the teacher a bit more to see what would happen, and was really surprised by how much more fun he was, and that is why he ended up messing with him even further.
