Why is that a good thing?! When I hear blue sunflowers mentioned, it kills my immersion like a slap to the face, I fucking hate it! It doesn't do anything but remind me that the story is made up and there are no real stakes or consequences - and yeah, I know these stories aren't real, but suspension of disbelief is crucial to enjoying any story, and I can't maintain it when blue sunflowers are brought up!

My favorite part of this channel is when I’m listening to these stories when I’m falling asleep, and right as I feel myself about to drift off, the most annoying, obnoxious, out of pocket loud piece of shit ad comes on out of nowhere and wakes me up for the next 20 to 30 minutes because I have to open my eyes, pick up my phone, and either wait to press the skip ad button, or wait 30 seconds for the fucking thing to end

Lol. My brother is also deathly allergic to dairy, so I grew up without any in the house. Today, when I have it, I think it tastes awful outside of some icecreams and pizza. My theory is that people like dairy because their parents bought them cheap cheese snacks when they were young and now they got used to it. The first time I had Doritos was in high-school and it was one of the worst things I have ever tasted, so I just can't believe that people who snack on them don't have some tolerance to the taste. The same thing goes with goldfish, dairy milk, most cheeses, and even vegetables. You have to get used to them to like them. Or maybe it's just a me-problem

@@EternityUnknown aaahhhh... you WHAT now? You eat goldfish? Little orange fish that people keep as pets? That... I have never heard before. Aren't they too small? What of the bones? No, on second thought, please don't tell me about the bones or scales or... nope, nope, nope. Please, no. On the dairy thing though, I was raised on a farm, mostly crops and chooks, but we also had a few cows, pigs, sheep, the occasional goat. We milked the cows, sheep and goats and made cheeses, butter, ice cream, etc ourselves. I guess, no... I know I was spoilt in that regard. My allergy is an adult onset one and came out of the blue in late 2020. We don't know why (I have my suspicions and my doctors mostly agree), but I used to have at least 3 different kinds of dairy products every day for over 40 years with no problems. Now, I can't have any milk products from any animal source. I'm of the opinion that it's better to have the allergy from very early childhood - that way you don't know what you're missing, how the products SHOULD taste, and also you don't really know just how far off the mark some of those plant based substitutes are. Coconut yoghurt and coconut or almond milk ice creams are not too bad, but plant based cheeses? 🤢🤢🤢 If those were chemically any closer to plastic, Mattel and Hasbro would be market leaders.

Jeeeze, I swear. Saturdead is one of my absolute favorite authors in the horror scene, and for good reason. The a universe shared by many/most of their work is extremely expansive, with inter-story references and connections to an extent rarely seen, even amongst some of the English language’s most prolific and skilled authors. In my opinion, the connectivity is on par with that of Tolkien, although in an extremely different kind of writing style. You don’t necessarily pick up on it after listening to just one or three stories, but by the time you get past a half-dozen or so, the does begin to connect. It’s very unique, too, the way that were given more than enough information to make each piece captivating, almost without exception, while using enough hints, Easter eggs, cliffhangers etc. (which, interestingly, only seem to create many more questions than they tend to answer, which is a bit counter-intuitive) to leave the reader absolutely ravenous for more. As soon as I understood the depth of the world building, I was instantly and irrevocably hooked.. they’re one hell of a talented creator. Most of the time, funny enough, im not even aware it’s their work I’m listening to at first (although they all share the same quality of enjoyment for me) until whoever is narrating mentions blue sunflowers. I say whoever because it be can find their work all over the KZbin creepypasta scene and beyond, not just this channel. Appropriately, too, there seems to be a rather disproportionate occurrence of major-league narrators/voice actors vs. the kind you only listen to once (if that) on that list. And the best part, is every story is so damn unique and unlike the others, and consistently unusual and inventive. It’s quite a master stroke of creative ingenuity, to be honest.

Best of luck in your respective colleges. Make sure you're doing the social events if you can. A degree without a plan is just paper. Did 4 years at a business college, been working jobs tangentially related ever since aimlessly. If you don't feel your getting anything out of it, maybe drop out before you take too much debt out for financing. If I could do it over, I'd pick a trade school. One of my best friends is setting up an awesome retirement in his profession and we're only 34.

@@JMMike03 d'you have a channel where you tell your stories? i really like listening to other's stories, mrballen is one of the best, for sure, but finding new ones are always intriguing. not into channels that are about gossip or celebs, much prefer creepypastas 👻🍝 . or urbex channels. have done a lot of urbexing too but never recorded anything. and cheers for offering to narrate, nice one, though think i'd like to do my own *_if_* i can frigging focus enough 😅. and if i ever get it together to do it, i'd like to collab with others. that's what i've always liked that about /x/ how there are some truly excellent and disconcerting greentext stories on there, and on some threads people collab and follow on from the one before. the innawoods type ones are some of the best.

UGH! What is it with wiggly things penatraighting bodies that freaks me out the most in scary tales. LOL Fantasticly spine chilling tale. It has everything from mysterious biohazards, to alienesk parasites, to zombie like infected walkers, to near inafectual military action. Although for something this infectious I'm suprised the death toll was so low. I would have expected at least a 60% loss of the town with it being that bad. Especialy weird only 1 kid had any dairy products on that bus. Whatever happened to school lunches? When I was growing up you'd have the choice of either milk, chocolate milk, or juice to drink with those meals. And that's not including the dairy in the possible meals. They'd be pretty lucky to have a small amount of kids that didn't have any dairy products Let alone survive this
