Especially since that trauma rewires their brains. The traumatic pain, even if knocked out, is still perceived by the brain and the person will retain that somatic trauma for the rest of their life without therapy.

I thought the CPR dummy was invented by a man whose daughter drowned? So wouldn't you assume it's based off his daughter?

what you said is kind of like a mixed story, because the man was a Dr who had a daughter that passed away, but the girl that drowned was not his daughter. but this story is way better than the true origin of it. the true origin was that this girl drowned sometime in 1880s and no one knew her or if she had family, so common practice was they would basically put the bodies in a freezer that had a window that could show up to 14 bodies. that way anybody that walked by might be able to identify the person. after that history does not know if out of trying to find her family, or if the guy wanted a keepsake (be a creeper) the mortician made a mold of her face which grew in popularity and had many people wanting one (it did get manufactured, and copies were made). eventually in the 1950s the Dr that was creating CPR decided that they needed a doll of some sort to help the learning process. he went to a toy factory to get the doll made and had the mold added to the doll to create what was then known as resuscitation Annie.
