Watched this one in the morning before work. Loved the music, really haunting. I have a suspicion Garrett might be dead. 1) Instead of taking his exit back to NY, he is inexplicably drawn to a 'farm upstate'. (Colloquially 'A Farm upstate' = dead) 2) He says "I bought the farm". Granted, it's a farm sim, but still! 3) He says "One day down, Eternity to go." Eternity? He is pretty glib but what an odd choice of words. Suspicious! Also that his farm was surrounded by big gates that he threw away the key to. Not a pearly gate, but still a big gate. Maybe the farm is a type of purgatory? Or maybe not, but it looks like a great game either way. Can't wait for the full playthrough!

Growing up in a house without air-conditioning I can confirm that open windows can cause doors to open and close or even slam shut depending on how windy it is that day. I played the demo and am really hoping this indie game manages to get completed. There's a lot of potential here for some really spooky/psychological stuff that could be a lot of fun to ignore as I water my tomato plants.

This is really the only channel I get horror game content on anymore, so despite your voice usually being a bonus to the content, I really appreciate you conscientiously taking the time to let the background music just play quietly at that one point. It really added to the mood and made me want to see so much more of the story. Something about this demo just really hit right. Great balance here.

Yeah, this looks exceptional, no doubt about it. The beginning was giving me such Edith Finch vibes, especially with that music. Then suddenly it was The Forest as you mentioned haha. Branches out into a pretty unique combination of genres. That musical sequence around 43.00 hit me out of nowhere, loss and grief, it was genuinely moving. This must be nailed on for a full playthrough Chris.

- the instrumentals at 0:22:58 , and the vocal track at 0:42:45 were freaking fantastic and made me look up from working. I'm already thinking that I'll be looking to buy the OST for this. - The voice acting is also on point! - those spooky moments were legit spooky omg - despite the spooky things, my HarvestMoon brain was going into overdrive ("MORE CHICKENS! EGGS IS WHERE IT'S AT!! But what about the wolves... HMMM" xDDD) =))) super excited for this title and your playthrough of it!

I love that this game maybe 60-70% of the time made me feel like I should be relaxing, enjoying a quaint but peaceful life along with the protagonist as a person living in the country. Then the other 30-40% of the game, the jumpscares are even more effective because I was so busy relaxing into the previously cosy atmosphere and just didn't expect them!

Living away from overly dense city, having a big farm, growing our own self sustaining food, raising cows, sheeps and chickens, breathing pure air and feeling the cool breezes, night time bonfire with families and friends, with some peace of mind basically.

I feel like, depending on how it sticks the ending, this could be one of those games that touches people deeply on an emotional level some can connect to. The type that could really make me cry when it's over. So far, it has a great balance between psychological horror, exploration, and relaxing farming simulator. The music, as so many have pointed out, is beautiful and matches the theme very well in feeling melancholic and nostalgic alongside the beauty. It's only a demo right now, but I already had to check if there was a released OST. Despite the farming simulator, and that this is a *psych* horror and not an action horror, the pacing is nice. Over all, I would LOVE to see you play the rest when it releases 🙏

I watched 8BitRyan play this. He accidentally hit the cat with the shovel trying to pet it & it ran away. He tried restarting the day but nah cat was GONE. The game felt lonlier without that furball... This game looks so cool. Such an interesting mesh of concepts. Farm sim meets psychological horror. Hope you continue this one when its released!

I usually watch one playthrough for each game, and I already watched this one from another KZbinr who didn't pay much attention to the little details of the story (he's usually an open-world, random-generated survival game player, so it really wasn't his forte). My favorite was when I wanted to plant more tomatoes, I bought the rake but didn't by the seeds, so after painstakingly digging my neat rows, I went to buy the seeds just in time to see a ghost walking through the dining area and standing at the window to look at me for a second before disappearing...

My favorite was coming in at night and looking at the painting to see the door was cracked, then turning around and seeing the bathroom door cracked open with something peeking out.

Yay, I heard good things about this and was considering watching Gab Smolders' video, and just in time you upload yours. A very promising demo, I'm curious as to how the dev will be able to manage the farming sim aspect while keeping the story moving along (we already got some answer with the objects with an asterisk it seems). I just hope Garett didn't simply kill Julia while driving drunk, that's all I ask story-wise. That wound make for an interesting series on the channel, I'm genuinely hoping you'll play this !

You should watch Gab’s playthrough, too. I’ve watched several and everyone seems to get something different. For example, CJU is the first I’ve seen to get that whisper while placing the chicken coop, and to see the couple outside the barn. (Also the only one to get that hilarious exploding tree bug.) The dev put quite a few secrets in, even in the demo.

Please Cjugames read the letter from the developer that is on the starting screen. This game has a very personal feeling for the developer and that is why this game works. I did enjoy very much watching you play it. I don"t know if this is true but I have heard that every time you play the demo some of the creepy things that happen are different. Oh boy I really wasn't sure how I felt about this going through it. At first I wasn't liking the "artsy" vibes I felt it was giving to portray the story. Which is strange because I usually enjoy motiffs like that. Once the survival aspect came in I was really enjoying it more. By the end I'm not sure, not because I disliked anything or thought the game was bad, the opposite actually. It was starting to invoke such a strong emotional set of feelings that were hitting me super hard. So as much as I want to play this, I don't see me getting through it with out crying and feeling very emotional from things hitting a little to close to home. I'm gonna download the demo and give it a try though, I really want to try and play the full game, and hopefully I can get through it. I mean who wouldn't enjoy a Silent Hill farmsim lol. Also CJU not sure if you are back from holiday yet, hopefully you had/are having a good time though~!
