I think this one could be saved to an extent. The wood and interior is pretty much unsavable but the brick could definitely be saved. Somebody could rip out the rotted interior and completely rebuild the inside.

I’ve always wanted to see inside this house. I’ve only ever looked in the barns. It was uninhabited for years, but the son would go in there and drink. He lit a fire in one of the fireplaces and the place went up.
@urbexontario73Ай бұрын
Wow I didn’t know that! Do you know anything else about the house?
@ThatsaritachickАй бұрын
The mother went into a nursing home many years ago. I believe her children own the property now. The son (the alcoholic) has passed. I’m not sure how many siblings are left. I’m just really hoping a developer doesn’t get a hold of this property, because all of us who live around it will not be happy

The earliest two-door Oldsmobile Alero was the 1999 model, which seems pretty recent considering the state of decay in the house. I guess it's possible. Amazing place.
@urbexontario73Ай бұрын
That’s a good catch! You’re right, it does seem a little out of place.
@andysuber941Ай бұрын
@@urbexontario73 Well, now that I think about it I guess we could assume a fire took the top floor and roof about 20 to 25 years ago. The weight of the snow you get every year could account for the kitchen floor caving in and all the decay. But it seems strange that the car was left, as well as having both doors wide open. Maybe the vandals left them open like that.

I imagine back in the day that it was a very fancy place, maybe a rich person's house. The brick work is beautiful. It looks like the people left in a hurry and it might be interesting to know why. They left quite a few and maybe valuable things behind.
@lisaruley1233Ай бұрын
I would have loved to of seen that farmhouse before everything started collapsing and rotting away. Once these places are gone, they're gone forever, you will never see nothing built like this again. I'm sure it was a beautiful home back in its day.. Thanks for the tour, glad that you didn't go much further, that place looked and is in a rough shape. Loved the beautiful fireplaces and the scroll work on the staircase and the frames around the doors. Thanks again. Much love and stay safe and blessed. Happy 2025 New Year!🥰🤗😇❤✌👍🌞🎉🎆

Super cool place! Can imagine it in its heyday ❤ wondering if there might have been a bit of an eccentric person with a bit of a hoarding problem that caused a fire and then it was abadoned? Too bad someone does not ask to salvage some of the doors and trims.

i do not think those small " spice " jars are spice at al. in the 19 teens 20S a " cottage industry " was porcelain painting this predated transferware. ladies would mix pigments ( as in those tiny jars ) with lavendar oil and paint un fired clay when fired the oil would burn off and pigment would be on the clay ( porosity ) they would then glaze and possibly luster ( gold or mother of pearl ) very talented women would be hired by companies to hand paint their wares. the husband worked or was at war ww1 was 1914 -1918. this cottage industry kept the family fed.
