Great video. I’m currently doing the same on my breakfast bar wall in my kitchen. A lot easier with all your tools but I’m getting there. I’m up to the sanding down and wondering what u used to paint or seal the wood. I’m looking for something that will soak in seal,protect and also bring out the natural grain on the wood.

You could use glue but maybe get some small trim nails and a hammer and throw a nail in each end of the long ones. Just to hold them in place so you can keep moving.

I only used pallets that were in good shape and from a dry goods shipping company. I planed the boards and then sanded them prior to staining some of them and then adding clear coat to all of them. Not sure that qualifies as guaranteeing their safe but the wood all looked really good.

What was your technique of dismantling the pallets so quickly? Also are you hitting studs with the nails?
@CReevesMakes7 жыл бұрын
A reciprocating saw and circular were used for most of the dismantling. I used a hammer and pry bar for the stubborn ones. If you do not want to maintain the long length boards, you can just cut out the good sections with a circ saw. That is the quickest way. They also make tools specifically designed for pallet dismantling, but I did not feel I needed one for this project. Here is a link to the Pallet Buster www.amazon.com/dp/B01MR4D17F/ref=asc_df_B01MR4D17F5273417/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B01MR4D17F&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198085543659&hvpos=1o8&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12823570314425868562&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9021523&hvtargid=pla-319839169325
