Do you think it is okay to leave the new sub-assy with the skeleton assembled with default constraint, or do you go back later and actually re-assemble the new sub-assembly with new constraints?

why exactly do you need a skeleton? why not doing just assemblies and subassemblies? Do skeletons define de exact outer surfaces of the geometry or is it just approximate?

Eugenio, please see this Top Down Design overview video which I hope answers your question kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5TZknaFeLeYqbc The intent is that the Skeleton captures any geometry referenced by multiple components, so when a change is needed, you update the Skeleton, and all the connected models update automatically. If used for the Outer Mold Line (OML), the surfaces should be exact.

Can you make a Shrink wrap that is configurable by global characteristics?
