An early version of Pro/Engineer. That functionality has been around for decades, before Creo and Wildfire.

Very informative video.. I'm in design dept. of glass bottle plant where we use creo for modeling. Surfacing is very critical while modeling of complex shape bottles. I have few Questions where i always get stuck. Shall i mail to you .

How can make a single surface for a closed circle section?. As an example, need a single surface perimeter when making a hole or extruding closed circle. It shows two equally split surface. Can you please explain the configuration setting for this?, Thanks

During selection, they are treated as a single surface.

@@CADPLMGuy If I make a revolve or a circle extrude or make a hole on a solid body in creo software , the perimeter surface is a two equally split surfaces. But in other software like solid works the perimeter is a single surface. Do you know configuration settings for to get a single surface for above mentioned.

There is no configuration option. Don't worry about it. That's how Dr. Sam Geisberg wrote his engine for defining 3D geometry, cylinders, and circles in the original Pro/ENGINEER in the 1980s. Creo is not SolidWorks or other CAD programs. It is the originator of parametric modeling and its kernel is different from Parasolids. But the selection algorithm is smart enough that when you select one, it automatically selects the other half as necessary.

Is it possible that can we extract all surfaces from the step file and thicken it ?

Click on any surface of step file. Click Ctrl + C and Ctrl +V (copy & paste). Then select the new surface and click Thicken.
