Sir i have a case i have to give 3mm thickness to them when i shell the case its only take 1.7mm thickness can you please tell me another method toh give 3mm thickness to case
@4kside9 ай бұрын
Please try to use offset features. Here is the quick tutorial for you to understand why is not possible to set 3mm (My guessing 😎) Offset feature and Offset analysis kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4HdomeanNF0npY

@@4kside yes i used this method but I selected all the surface but when i offset them so gap is occurred in the offset surfaces then they cant merge and can’t solidify

This is just another way to do the patch, right? the best, fast and cleaner option is to use style surface? this way I believe match the fill command in NX, Catia or Solidworks?
@4kside2 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes this is another option be cause not everyone can use style feature (Style is included in ISDX license) and these steps (boundary blend and curves) are in default functionality, in every base Creo license

Hi Vladimir, I tried this on Creo 5.0 and the copy/paste functionality seems to have changed. Is this method still possible in later Creo versions?
@4kside5 жыл бұрын
Hi Andreas - if you mean Copy and Paste Special ... it is same in creo 5 and creo 6
@AndreasHatz5 жыл бұрын
@@4kside I tried this again at work on Creo 4 and get the same as on Creo 5 with the paste special with rotate transformation. There are two options to this; Copy Original Geometry and Hide Original Geometry. If you untick the "Copy Original Geometry" option, the "Hide Original Geometry" option must remain on. Looks like the ability to create independent copies of the geometry to edit diameters independently is no longer available?
@4kside5 жыл бұрын
The function of Paste special is possible define Dependent or independent. Try to "play" with this feature.. Yes it is very powerful and you can define different dims if necessary. Best Regards Vladimir

8:37 how did he understood he need to create a curve to project and cut that specific portion?
@4kside3 жыл бұрын
I have created curve by project function because we need smooth shape
@IamReemoh3 жыл бұрын
@@4kside thanks for the reply, I understood that but my doubt is how did you know: by making a curve projected on that surface will help you remove unrequired surface. (its the logic I want to understand)
@4kside3 жыл бұрын
I have created many objects by surfaces , and based on the experience sometimes you know that is better to use some extended surfaces or not.

Also, The axis that i created had references about the Front and the right plane. And the datum created has a translation distance from the Front plane. I hope that is not the problem.

Curvature continuous version?
@4kside8 жыл бұрын
... sorry, I do not understand your question "Curvature continuous version?"
@hodshonf8 жыл бұрын
instead of just tangent (G1) curves and surfaces, curvature continuous (G2). Tangential continuity (G¹) requires the end vectors of the curves or surfaces to be parallel and pointing the same way, ruling out sharp edges. Because highlights falling on a tangentially continuous edge are always continuous and thus look natural, this level of continuity can often be sufficient. Curvature continuity (G²) further requires the end vectors to be of the same length and rate of length change. Highlights falling on a curvature-continuous edge do not display any change, causing the two surfaces to appear as one. This can be visually recognized as "perfectly smooth". This level of continuity is very useful in the creation of models that require many bi-cubic patches composing one continuous surface.
@4kside8 жыл бұрын
Hi Frederic, you can see that I have defined in this video tutorial TANGENCY on the curves and later I have defined TANGENCY on the surfaces. If you define in your example CURVATURE on a edges, you can use CURVATURE on the surfaces.
@hodshonf8 жыл бұрын
i just wanted to bring up the option to do this with better surface transitions. i rarely use tangent connects.

Surface Tube is beautiful but Creo can not create surfaces from 5 curves up to that is weak point of Creo . With Catia , NX , Solidworks.... Surface Tube is created very easy . If Creo improve this function , Creo become perfection . I hope Creo will be improved more . Thank you very much .
@4kside8 жыл бұрын
+HUYNH TRUC PHONG Hi, you can do it in Creo with N-SIDE Patch feature :) >> use the search command. The n-side patch is not in the ribbon as a default icon. Best regards, Vladimir
