Pls. explain sir, how to avoid repeated dimensions at layout in creo?
@aneesurrehman41352 жыл бұрын
being a creo official instructor sir what do you think why creo doesn't give a sketch pattern feature inside sketching mode i don't think its a big deal to add them even inferior software provides that

I've covered this in my Design Intent book as well as a couple videos. When duplication is a feature-level operation as opposed to sketch entity based, you have more control over Design Intent - the core philosophy of Creo Parametric. You have a lot more control over variability, location, orientation, inclusion, and modification when duplication is performed at the feature level.

@@CADPLMGuy the answer is satisfactory 👍 but some time we are interested in only 2D drawings and that feature could be more of assistance

20+ years ago when I was teaching, in the first lecture we explained that Creo was 3D, model-centric, and feature-based. So if you're looking for 2D, drawing-centric, and sketch-based, a tool like AutoCAD would better suit those needs.

Hi Dave, I have a question for you, how can I make a pattern that will allow me to dimension in the 2D drawing in baseline dimension
@CADPLMGuy4 жыл бұрын
Why not just use automatic ordinate dimensioning?
@elpez1594 жыл бұрын
because they ask me to have the drawing parameterized
@CADPLMGuy4 жыл бұрын
That’s old school thinking and no longer relevant. You should show them my video on driving versus driven dimensions and why that philosophy is a decade out of date.
@elpez1594 жыл бұрын
yes, I will do it to have wide knowledge and propose new techniques, thank you very much

Unusually abrupt ending to your otherwise informative video, Dave.
@CADPLMGuy5 жыл бұрын
Sometimes I don’t feel like putting on the usual ending. Besides, my analytics show that almost no one watches until the end.

@@CADPLMGuy Not no one, many probably dont. But that shouldnt make you make the ending horrible. Not that i am saying this was horreble cause this is by far the best video on youtube about patterns. You also may have saved my uni career so thanks. Dont underestimate your fans, trust us more than the statistics.
