Hi, I do consumer electronics industrial design. Mostly class a surfacing for things like mobile phones, tablets, cameras. Previously used Catia for surfacing. Would Creo plus ISDX be the tools I need to make external surfaces for those types of products? Are there other modules for creo that are better? Thanks in advance.

At Amazon, we used ISDX for tablets, readers, the phone, and more. Most people use hybrid modeling when it comes to surfacing, which means using a combination of tools like parametric surfacing, ISDX, Freestyle, and even tools like Import Data Doctor.

Awesome content! I’ve watched all of your ISDX surface videos and also the flatten quilt videos to help with a project I’m doing. I am trying to create a custom fabric cover for a compounded surface (airplane fuselage) and my hope was to utilize these tools, but nothing seems to properly flatten the quilt. In areas I know for sure should have curved edges... they are flat. Are there any directions you could point me in? Thank you! PS I understand that a compound surface needs to be stretched or bunched up. We know where the fabric panels should be broken up to relieve this fabric stress but now need to get proper flat patterns from the model somehow

Just be aware I do not take requests. I will make more Style videos. If there's a project that interests me, I may make a Freestyle video at some point. I used to teach Restyle and honestly I have zero interest in making a video on the subject.
