the specific torque for the threaded fastener changes if you use locking/ sealing(loctite) also, there are many types of those products, very specific for the torque demand and application(heat) good job on the markings, if you have issues, just research more!

Edmundo Cunha correct on all accounts. I just used the wrong torque spec for the flex plate to crank bolts . ( not the bolts we torque in the vid)

So how come those convertor bolts ended up coming loose on the dyno? Did you miss some due to shooting video? Genuinely curious.

John Griffin the converter bolts were tight but the flex plate - crank bolts were the ones that worked loose.

Benny, I meant to ask you if you wanted a set of hood vents like the ones on my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. They are about the same size as the ones you have but look a bit nicer. AFAIK break in oil is for flat tappet pushrod engines and is to aid in breaking in the cam and lifters while having nothing to do with rings and bearings. As the barra is a roller ohc motor it's a non issue. Also I'm sure benny isn't dumb enough to ignore the engine builder's advice on something this spendy.

These other channels are real mechanics building thing at the higher end of the spectrum. The reason benny and al started there own channels is because they seen the potential to to have there own and not have to depend on anyone else.

checking twice with torque wrench is good because bolts stretch. so doing it a 2nd time makes sure its a true reading. full on engine builders in funny cars/ top fuel etc even use 2 different torque wrenches to make sure they are giving accurate torque. they also release the bolts after torquing. and then re torque ( so 4 times total) to simulate the engine running for the first time) this guy street drives 2500HP engines, this is how he builds engines. so he is doing something right!
