As someone who only owns Gargs I am biased, love those lil guys. Cresteds are cute too- I love their lil clown feet. But personally, I love Gargoyles more than anything so they win for me

As someone who owns 6 cresties and 6 gargoyles I have to say I lean on the gargoyles too. Love my cresties a lot too they’re just a bit jumpier and I’m always concerned one if going to drop their tail 😂

I have one crested and love him! He's so dope and now that he's 3 years old and pretty big he's chilled out a lot. In the process of getting a gargoyle though. Just got an 18x18x24 on Facebook marketplace for $60 so can't wait!

I love them both. My gargoyle gecko Sirella is such a sweetie . She is unusual as she won’t eat bugs she hates them lol . She just about ate 3 as a baby & at juvie age where as my crested geckos were crazy for them ! . Sirella loves the occasional spoon feed , & is a proper character lol 🥰 none of mine are for breeding they are pampered fun pets.

I knew Gargoyle was gunna win. They're just too similar except one grows their tail back and will come out in the day more. Crested are only better for breeding. I wonder how the hybrids do since I've heard about them breeding. If they could get the tail regen, daytime activity, and easy breeding all in one that would be the ultimate gecko.

I have a gargoyle gecko- I made sure to keep him healthy and hydrated- temperature I keep I'm at 80 to not make it too hot and change his water when it's dirty.

I dont believe you Tiki. I honestly think you like Crested More. This video was fun and well timed. I'm in the market for a Gecko and I'm torn between the 2 so I clicked right away. I've been leaning towards another Crested though. The Crest, the jumping, the climbing, the bigger feet and being more active are my reasons. The Gargoyle is more hardy but was that really enough for the win? Their Reds are not enough to beat out Non-Red Cresty Morphs.

Maybe where u live they are cheap where I live they are expensive they are the 2nd most expensive gecko in my area everyone else is way cheaper so unfortunately it's hard to get them for nice price which sucks

Also I LOVE that my crested geckos DON'T like heat!! I love that they are low maintenance! they are long lived and mine are hearty! I have four and only one lost his tail and that was just the other day when he was grabbed wrong at the base of the tail by my husband 😠. Otherwise we have had them for years and no dropped tails! I don't like heat and don't want my house to be hot, I like my animals on display, so crested geckos are perfect. We have a lot of cover for them and we still see them, we love to watch them hunt.

@@amandastakeonit7402 You don't have to heat the house for gargoyle geckos either. They are just more heat tolerant and grow faster in a bit warmer temps. I don't have one yet (am keeping my focus on the needs of my current two furry children), but really want a gargoyle after they both cross the rainbow bridge. I keep my house cooler also, but am happy that they would be more tolerant if (knock on wood) the AC went out or something in the middle of summer.
