I used to take my mini miner with me to the hydraulic pits. At one point she had ATV track that I expected to be shut down by the EPA. she was a wild one! The gold is nice, the memories are the gold!

Nice video. Glad mini miner got to go along and got first gold to boot Hope she got ice cream as well . Prospecting is a great fun outdoor activity for families. I liked the tip about gray clay and mercury covered gold. I probably would have tossed them. 🤣 It's good you got to work in a cooler spot this time in the shade. Great Times there Jeff. Mini Miner will never forget it. Your mystery item looks like either a musket ball or a shotgun slug to me. I am leaning more towards the musket ball because it looked like there was that little nub that you cut off from the mold. But most likely I would have to say a slug.

Mini miner was so awesome! Reminds me of my daughter at that age. I have a question. I'm assuming "crevicing" wasn't really a thing back in the beginning of the gold rush here in California.
