Hey Mooney, great video. I don't condone what these guys did but I have to give them credit for their ingenuity in pulling off these bank jobs. The were very clever and smart until they started spending money like drunken sailors. They might as well hang a sign around their necks saying I'm a criminal. Also, so I don't forget to say next week, I want to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving in advance!
@saadishsnake
@saadishsnake Жыл бұрын
That seems to be double-edged sword if you're a "smart" criminal. Now that you've made fast money without spending getting caught, you won't enjoy it unless you want to end up behind bars. Most people wouldn't be able to keep it together, just look at how quickly lottery winners blow through their winnings.

a B&E was attempted at a Best Buy in the city I work in, they climbed up, cut a hole (through the metal decking mind you which had to make a hell of a racket) and then tried to drop the extension ladder they used down the hole that they used to climb up onto the roof but failed to make the hole big enough to allow room in w/the ladder and a person on it going down. They were after Ipad's etc right there where they made the hole.

Hello mate. I'm just watching Goodfellas for about the 300th time and had to pause for a quick read about two things HH mentions that somewhat tainted the good life for wiseguys, one being Apalachin, and the other being the story of Crazy Joe Gallo (and his difficult evening at Umberto's NY clam house). I'm trying to figure out if you've covered these two matters before, although I doubt anyone would expect you to drive that super-thirsty (but highly-respected!) truck all the way to Apalachin as it's apparently 220 miles from New York City - three and a half hours and goodness knows how much precious fuel (petrol is appx $7.50/US gallon here in England, and diesel even pricier). Apalachin does sound vaguely amusing though, from reading the Wiki entry, the local cops baffled at all the fancy cars turning up in their little no-mark town, and once the chase started the local forests being full of big time mafiosi in their best handmade suits and shoes running like the wind to try to escape the swarming cops. All the best, Dave, Hampshire UK

There was something very similar happened in London, near me, if you Google the 'Hatton Garden Raid', they made two or more films about it already over here. Similar deal also. The area was a wealthy, mostly jewish place and most of the expensive stuff comes from jewellers the whole road is lined with multiple jewellers. From smaller franchises like H. Samuel to really high end custom stuff. I remember cos my dad used to work around the corner from there he told me about all the heavies that if you look them in the eye too long they give you a mean stare. I went down there and he was right. They have big bouncer type guys in leather coats that patrol outside the jewellry shops, when I went there they looked like Serbia or Russian mafia. Would not want to get caught trying to rob one of those places! They are mostly there as a strong deterrant to smash and grab raids which is usually kids on mopeds. The Hatton Garden raid was done, like this by veteran criminals on a holiday, just like this, so they wouldn't get caught., they used an industrial drill and went through like 2 metres of solid concrete into a jewellry vault. Got away at the time and someone snitched on them in the end and they are all probably still in jail. Crime didn't pay that time! Good content.
