Was a bustling town until late '80's.Works closed, Rolls Royce closed, rollermakers closed, tea factory closed...place died.

Shame really, I lived in Crewe for a couple of decades, and had some good times, it used to quite a lively place with a decent nightlife (especially when The Limelight was open, loved that venue!) but when I was last there, a couple of years ago, it was like the heart was ripped out of the place.

Shocking whats happening to the towns, yesterday it was a toss up between going to Crewe or Stafford both of which we hadnt been to in over 10 years, we opted for Stafford, wrong choice !! Indoor market stalls all but empty high street decimated all the big guns have moved to Riverside Area, towns don't stand a chance sadly. A trip to Stafford is in order Daryl 👍

Stoke on Trents city centre is a paradise compared to Crewe, most of Crewe's high st and shopping centre is empty.
