Aw, thanks for this, it brings back a lot of emotions! To set the record straight - I would NOT have got as far as I did without Nicola, definitely not - her crewing was incredible, she took such good care of me and my kit etc, and it really was a team effort ❤❤❤

Wow, you are a good friend Nicola. What a fantastic event and Eleanor did great. You definitely had the organizational part down. I never had the urge to run something like that but I can certainly appreciate the mental strength it takes to keep at it. Cool video and it was a lot of fun to watch

ye gods that is brutal! The worst bit must be not knowing how much your competitors have got left in the tank... Thanks for the video Nicola, a true insight into another world!!

It's crazy! And as Eleanor showed you can be at breaking point and it can turn around and you can be totally fine for hours and hours! 🙃

That was fantastic Nicola. I’ve become obsessed with all the Backyard videos but this really showed the importance of having a support team. Have you ever done one?

PS - major congrats to Eleanor - what an amazing runner and incredibly strong person. 👏👏

Thanks, no I've not done one. I get raynaud's really badly so the stopping would kill me! I'm more of a keep going kind of girl. It's an interesting format though as I love the thought of looking my competitors in the eye every hour! Although I find there's such camaraderie, it's not really about sussing each other out to see who is going to fail. It's about pushing each other to see how far you can go together! 😃

@@NicolaRuns that’s interesting. Not sure which side of the fence I’d land. Either way thought of 24 hrs is incredible - beyond that is unreal.

This Event is very interested. Is this Ultra Running Event a Trail or a mixture between trail and Road running? Thank you for the Video.
@NicolaRuns3 күн бұрын
The day loop is trail and the night loop is road 😃 If you run far enough then it's an ultra 🙃

@@andreasgotz7537 no worries. They do the race twice a year. In May there's way more light and so more trail loops and in November it's more night loops so more road 🙃

Not sure if this is inspirational or just plain bonkers. Slid my way around my16th park run today. Now nailed to the floor, and with a calf strain to boot. Can't get my head around that distance

It's bonkers... But in the best way possible! Hope your calf forgives you quickly ☺️
