Honda, you have a HUGE 2-stroke fan base. There are thousands upon thousands of people that would love to see the Cr 85, Cr125, Cr250, or the Cr500 back.. they’d buy them in a heartbeat. Heck, the ones you built back before 2007 people still ride to this day including me owning a 2002 Cr250. You led the industry in 2 stroke bikes and reliability. We all want the 2 strokes back. Emissions problems? You can find a way around it just like any other company has and will. This isn’t just coming from me, this is coming from die hard Honda riders across the globe. Bring back the 2 strokes!

Both the X and L are based off the R but the engines have slight differences compared to each other because the L was built for reliability in mind since it is a road-going bike as well. The other things you hit it on the money. They are also other slight differences but are mainly for reliability on the L. They are very very close to each other. Hope this helps.

EPA killed the 2 strokes, they will never be back. Electric is here though and gaining ground . Every year emission standards get more stringent, the "Dirty" 2 stroke is the worst offender of hydrocarbon emissions. 2 stroke engines still being produced will soon not meet new emission standards, the R&D costs for a new clean 2 stroke far out weigh any profit to be made. .

4 strokes cost more, repairs costs. Don't Honda I will be buying beta or ktm 2 stroke. I'm sure u will make it up on John doe's 33k Rebuild!? Can not believe crf450L couldn't be made to have a better time between oil changes/repairs. (This is not a duel sport)

Alex Anderson If i go off road for my next bike, it will be a ktm 300 or a 250/450 4stroke japanese dirtbike, if i go supermoto then a exc450 or a Honda CRF 450 Supermoto (made legal by RedMoto Honda for EU market)

What’s the difference between the 450x and 450L. Besides it being street legal? Please share pros and cons.
@hondamotorcycles6 жыл бұрын
Besides it being street legal, both are based off of the 450R platform and are very similar with differences being a focus for reliability on the L. If you go to our website, it explains the difference between the two.

Making a street legal 2 stroke racer/trailbike is EASY...JUST LOOK AT THE KTM 300XC-W with tail light/headlight combo. WATCH AND LEARN, Honda...cause KTM has STOLEN THE PODIUM FROM YOU AND THEY RAN AWAAAAYYYYYY WITH IT, LOL.

MOTOWENS May I ask why?
@motowens6 жыл бұрын
Beep Beep Lettuce because nobody has a maico, and those arnt built to be in a competition class with 450s. So obviously a maico 700 is gonna be faster, but it wouldn’t be hard for a company to make a giant 4 stroke to rape a maico, if all they wanted to do was be fast and not compete in supercross/motocross

You gotta bring back your 2 strokes. The Cr 125 is one of the most fun bikes I've ever touched

I have the '17 rx & love it. Being that they've done away with the kick starter on the '19, it'll guarantee mid pack starts at best in the dead-engine-start-races... which oddly enough is what it's designed for. Hopefully it'll be an option we can add.
