So glad I found your vid. I too have the same issue and suprised more KLX110 owners aren't making a stink. Going through my third tube is enough for me at around 15-20psi. Stock rubber rim strips is crap too. The spoke nipplesjust gouge the tube through the rubber. I just use duct tape wrapped a couple of times.

Yep same here. I buy the heavy duty tubes also. We do a lot of woods riding. Switching to the oversized Mitas tires was a game changer.

i just orderd 2. . . we ran for 6 months no flats without. but a hard tight pack on braking dont care. hard braking will turn a tire. light braking and wheel chatter is ok. but full lockup on a hard rip. . . yup. thatll do it

Yea I’m not saying they are invincible with the rim lock in but they sure do help. We do some pretty knarly stuff on our bikes and the tubes hold up pretty good. Hope they work just as good for you!

Wish I knew about rimlocks before doing 70s on fresh 190cc and crashing 😂😂

Thanks for the vid. Installing rim locks now on my 13 crf110. That guy is right. The nut is for the valve cap not ment to tighten the stem to the tube. You need rim locks on a 110 too. Honda stuck it to us.

My Kawi 110l was the same way too. Glad you got her dialed in!

What size rim lock do you run
@safetybox104 ай бұрын
Are rim locks one size fits all or do they sell them for the 110? And I might have missed it but do you have to drill the hole for it?
@FullSpeedImpulse4 ай бұрын
There are different sizes. And you may have to drill a whole. If any of this makes you uncomfortable I would definitely take it to someone. I’m guilty as charged. My buddy does most of our wheel stuff.

So I have a rim lock and I’m still getting flat’s constantly
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
Making sure you have a clean rim and a good bead on your tires is important.

I usually keep upwards of 20psi in the rear tire too fyi

Keep having this exact problem. It's getting old.

Thoughts on rim strip? Necessary or no?
@FullSpeedImpulse10 ай бұрын
Yea you should always run a rim strip. Or at least wrap it in duck tape or electrical tape.

i don't believe the guy saying not to tighten valve nut
@FullSpeedImpulse2 ай бұрын
I agree. Tighten that thing up

Do you need a Rim lock for the front?
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
Nope just the rear. It’s because the wheel is being driven and has all the force being exerted to it.
@valiant7357 Жыл бұрын
@@FullSpeedImpulse cool thanks man. I only bought one for the rear so I just wanted to make sure before I build my wheels

can you add a rimlock to a crf 70cc
@FullSpeedImpulse2 жыл бұрын
I believe they run the same size rim as a 110s. 14in rim so you should be good. We have a xr70 but not quite sure if I did a rimlock on that. I'll post a mod video on 70s soon!
